There's an element of racism in the Morelos criticism. The dark skinned Latin must obviously have a hot temper because that's what all these Latin chaps have, isn't it? I mean players like Naismith, Lafferty, Griffiths and Brown, you know white, British sorts, they never get involved in goading the opposition, or react to persistent fouling or play the game right on the edge. No, it's just those dusky, foreign types that do that and need criticised for it.

Morelos is judged to a different standard than other players.

I doubt anyone cares what colour he is. You're the only person I've seen bring it up.

And world cup winner in fairness. He does a certain job well.

Nah man he isn't good enough. Chelsea need better. Stéphane Guivarc'his a French world cup winner too.

I think Hazard is not only too good for Chelsea, but too good for the league. He should be at Real or Barca.

    Lol.

All that may or may not be true but you still did not read or comprehend what i said.

But you know that or your answer would have been less of an attack and more of a rebuttal.

Shall we talk about how many center halves score a goal every 4 games?

Also it is truly lovely to see my dig at you about self awareness months ago is still eating at you. Thats 3 times now you have used the same phrase since.

Self awareness so hard to tell when you are good or bad at it.

Mate, I don't want to argue with you. At the end of the day we both bleed blue and we're also mates on FB.  Life is short and you're someone I respect a lot.

    Cbeers.

So many fails in one post. I'm at a loss as which one to use to humiliate you this time. Lets go with.

Reading and comprehension aren't your thing here it seems.

Oh for fuck sake, dude! You're completely illiterate!

Develop some self-awareness. Which uni did you go to, mate? Goodness me.

You're patronising me, so I shall do the same to you: my 10 year old nephew has a better grasp of the Queen's good English than you do. If you have some sort of mental deficiency then I apologise.

You type like a complete moron though.

    Cheers anyway.

Repeating yourself?  A negative post about Rangers?  Yes, I can safely say that you're repeating yourself.

If you want to provide a tangible argument I'm here and waiting. I would have thought you were beyond this straw man nonsense, mate.

Does anybody who watched these 2 legs think Maribor are good? They're crap.

@Ser Barristan Selmy I watched the ufa game yesterday and can honestly say they looked extremely poor. The main concern is the distance we must travel.

Hopefully we can put the tie to bed at Ibrox.

I have bad memories of CSKA playing with their cocks when we played them in the first leg. I think we legitimately have a - dare I say it - world class manager coaching us and I trust him to take us through it. BUT....a Russian side in Europe? This will be a test methinks.

  7. I’ve been trying to post tonight on a dodgy connection so apologies if repeating myself.

i was absolutely elated after we beat Maribor in the first round.

However, these are the facts as I see them. We beat a really poor side over these legs. Vastly superior to why we played in previous rounds, but a shit team.

Even if they finished 6th and struggled to beat progres, I think a sterner test awaits us.

I thought gubbing maribor was a big thing, but on tonight I don’t think it was

We probably couldn't have rigged a passage to the group stages much better than this. Get through tonight and it might be said that the toughest obstacles on the road to the groups are already behind us.

Who would have thought it just a couple of months ago when we brought in a 'rookie under 18's coach' to great derision from the Scottish media but not from England.

Where is the logic here? Any side qualifying for Europe in Russia are going to be fairly decent.

Since he left Rangers he's scored goals goals in Switzerland, England, Italy, Turkey and Scotland as well as finishing top scorer for his country during their qualification for Euro 2016.

To me that shows a level of versatility and that he is adaptable and surely that is what Rangers should be looking for?

Will he be top scorer? No. Will he contribute? Yes.

Scoring in different leagues is completely irrelevant when you're consistently getting extremely poor goal returns. Am I meant to be impressed that Lafferty went to Switzerland and scored 5 league goals in 25 games? If he achieved any goalscoring consistency he wouldn't have to keep finding new clubs.

My memory of K-Laff is one of an horrendously inconsistent and disappointing player. Therefore I have significant reservations about signing him.

However, I am inclined to trust Steven Ge55ard and the rest of the coaching/ scouting team, and if K-Laff is a (the) guy they want, and for whom they see a role, I'll go with that.

Lafferty's goal record with us in 4 years: 38 in 138.

    His league returns with us: 6, 7, 11, 6.

The overall goal record: 98 in 407

The amount of times he's fit double figures in his entire career: 3 times

Lafferty was an extremely poor signing at almost £4 million and it's madness we're looking to splurge even more on him. We're obviously really struggling to find good striking options.

  11. 5 hours ago, Bill said:

If Gerrard has identified Lafferty as necessary for a league challenge then he should get this signing over the line. If he has better options then we shouldn't be talking to Hearts. An additional £250k to bring on board the right man shouldn't be stopping the deal.

Let's just pray Morelos has a more consistent season this year because Lafferty is nowhere near good enough.

... maybe we watch him for another 10 games and see - on average - what he looks like. Same with our players. If we disect each game on its own  and have minute accounts on each player, we soon may tear our hairs out or have to be recalled from orbit. At the end of the day, it is results and performances over a number of games that count. Else we'd chop and change the starting eleven quicker than a Gatling gun revolves. I would assume SG and Co. know exactly what they do and if people don't click on the day, they will be subbed. I see, e.g. numerous people going bananas about Halliday being used or actually still being at the club, or indeed Hodson. Yet, if that chap called Steven Gerrard deems them good enough to be at Rangers still, or even play them, who are we to give them - at times - dogs abuse?

Of course, the above shall stop no-one from voicing their opinion.

All he commented on was a player performed well, which is what a forum is for. Calm yer boots.
