I don't think Jim Whyte is actually what you would call a Rangers fan, and i've never considered him to be one either ,he maybe started off as one in his younger years , but any love he may have had for the club was never going to interfere with his career.

I watched the interview with Si Ferry that was posted here ,and it was a good watch , but i don't think at any point he confessed to currently supporting Rangers, so no point in getting hacked off if he says anything derogatory about us, as he's just another part of the football media desperately vying for attention .

He's referred to as a Rangers fan all the time on his talksport show.

I thought he might be an answer and all things considered, it'd still be a bit of a gamble for no fee but a reasonable contract.

    - he has talent and he's a genuine No.10 on his day (what we lack)

    - has only ever had one good solid season (Championship with Hibs)

    - wasted at Celtic and a costly GIRFUY from their POV

    - still only 26 years old

You'd hope that we'd be going for better but we will be limited by our budget for a position that reall ability usually costs a lot of money.

On balance there is a heavy argument that says 'NAW' but it's one of those that might just work in Scottish fitbaw.

There will be a host of sides chapping his agents door come December 1st (probably already are)

Signing Celtic cast-offs is definitely not the answer.

Being 2 points behind the best team in Scotland for the last few seasons at this stage is something to give us hope considering our start to the season, new team and new manager, what did you expect before a ball was kicked this season?.

I certainly didn't expect to be 8 points behind Hearts before we were even in October.

18 matches played, 2 lost, 7 drawn, 9 wins, 33 goals scored, 13 goals against, and we are 2 pts behind the scum.

At the start of the season we didnt know what to expect! but we knew we would have some bad results for sure.

A long season ahead yet with lots of twists and turns for this new team.

Being 2 points behind the worst performing Celtic side in decades is not something to be proud of. As I said yesterday, we've been hugely impressive in Europe, but the league form is awful and completely unacceptable. It must be rectified immediately.

You don’t get relegated based on solely away games.  Our home form is championship winning material, which you are conveniently ignoring.

its mildly amusing people talking about us being 6th in a crap league.  Same people lauding us when we went 2nd last week ?  Nope... anyone who thinks we will end up as low as 6th is barking mad.  Won’t happen.

some decide to focus on the negativity as is their prerogative, whereas some of us focus on the improvements we have seen in a very short space of time.

    1. I never said you get relegated based on away games. I stated a fact: our away form is relegation material. Our home form is irrelevant when we’re 6th in the league.

    2. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I haven’t lauded our domestic form at any time this season. I’ve lauded our European form because it’s been deserving of such. 11 points from 6 games was still crap. And I doubt anyone thinks we will finish 6th, but challenging for the title will soon be out of reach if form doesn’t massively improve immediately.

    3. That’s because you’re wonderful, Craig. You’ve made this clear to us all. I call it as I see it which is domestically we’ve been really poor and in Europe we’ve been great. I don’t think any reasonably minded person could disagree with this assessment. If you’re going to reflect on 11 points from 7 with any positivity then you’re wired to the moon.

If we had gone out of Europe, questions would be being asked about Gerrard.

    We're 6th in a crap league.

Regardless of how well we do in europe, questions will be asked if the league form doesn’t completely change immediately. Our away form is relegation material.

Pitiful. No urgency. No tempo. No quality. We could have played until midnight and not scored. Did their keeper even make a save?

I know everybody was poor today but I genuinely feel that we will need a better striker than Morelos to win this league.

What does Morelos have in the league? 16 goals in 41 games? That’s a pretty pathetic return in a league as poor as ours.

  8. Absolutely astounding result tonight. We just went to the 5th best team in Spain, scored 2 goals and could have won the game. Regardless of their iffy start to the season. they finished above Sevilla last season, drew with them recently and they're full of top players.

What a fucking result. It's rare to see a Scottish side go away in Europe and get a result like this.

I think the applause for Miller whether it was merited or not was a better more dignified way to sign off on him than the type of treatment we see Jack get at the sheep pen.

Hardly comparable. Miller didn’t choose to leave. Do you seriously think if Miller joined Aberdeen at the peak of his career he would be applauded at Ibrox?
