The ref was terrible today, he's not corrupt he's just terrible. I wish we brought in refs from overseas or down south, but doubt that would happen!

It was a foul on Jack before their goal that the 4th official seen and told the ref but he ignored it. He missed lots during the game he's just a very bad ref, yet probably one of the best up here which says it all!

We were poor today and gave them too much respect, we should have tried to attack more other than near the end of the game, they are not that good a team especially at the back, that's why its's frustrating to take.

However we've virtually got a new team again, we have exceeded expectations IMO up till now, and the more we play together and the more the manager learns we will keep improving.

I can understand how hard it is to get beat by them but I don't fear them with this new team and management like I have before, I am very confident to get a result at home next time if we keep improving like we have and gelling together.

We do however need to find someone who can change a game when we are not playing well or backs to the wall time, we just don't have that kind of player yet.

Someone who can create something out of nothing, hold the ball and score half chances.

They are hard to find with our budget but I'm more confident with Gerrard as manager that we can bring a special player to Rangers in the near future to help us improve even more.

Totally gutted but need to look forward and think of how much we've improved since last season already!

Today had nothing to do with the ref, the SFA or anyone else. We were comfortably beaten by a really poor team.

Gerrard has been excellent so far, but today was a Walter v Zenit. We shouldn’t be parking the bus against a crap team like this.

Watch how Celtic do in the Europa this year - they’ll get tanked by anyone half decent, as is always the case with them under Rodgers.

On a wee sidenote, this was our 13th game of the season, it is September 2nd, BTW. We've just been back from a 6.000 mile journey from the middle of no-where, having had to play with 9 men. Our third difficult away game on the trott. Call it what you will, but that scheduling by the SFA was as shyte as the man in black today.

Can you at least try and be objective? You’re a robot

Their goal record is actually pretty much, exactly the same.

He's not a goalscorer, but he can contribute to the team. He's a willing runner, presser; he'll hold it up; he's versatile, playing up top or wide; he'll help out aerially at set-pieces; he'll chip in with a goal here and there; and, he's got a lot of experience. A striker doesn't need to score goals to be an important cog in the team.

    Your argument is narrow-minded.

Lafferty has never been anything more than an extremely limited player. There’s a reason he bombed in England and found himself playing for Hearts - he isn’t very good.

Celtc didnt have a striker with more than 9 league goals last year and you were lauding there attack v ours not so long ago.

I couldn’t really care less which striker for them scored what. They blew us apart and some of those games could have been cricket scores.

We were so atrocious all over the park last season it was beyond truth.

Thank christ, we finally have a manager that has a clue, and this is being rectified.

3 title medals in 4 years. Contributed to each one

    Failed miserably. Hyperbole

Reminds of the joke about Alan Shearer breaking into David May’s house to steal some of his trophies.

Club trophies don’t necessarily equate to player quality.

    Lafferty’s league returns with us: 6, 7, 11, 7. Lol!

I agree it's either xenophobia or racism

Broadfoot dives it's experience. Morelos dives or goes down easy it's typical of his behaviour.

Burke pulls back halliday and swings him to the ground, no booking and zero comment. Morelos does similar and he needs to sort his attitude out he's a liability.

Have also heard comments from commentators and sports journalists saying he has to change his face, I don't like the way he looks, he has a greeting face on him

Literally blamed him for the goal not being allowed seemingly his fault as he didn't hit it hard enough.

    Only difference is he's foreign.

Ah right, so if Scottish fitba has a thing for different ethnicities, surely it’s across the board. Does Dembélé also experience this? Please, get this racial card, leftist shite away from this board.

Moaning about winning 1-0 at home in Europe! what a difference to previous seasons, magic.

Who’s moaning? Apologies, I’ve not read previous posts. We achieved the exact result we required here. Any Russian side in Europe will be half decent, and considerably better than the usual SPL riff raff.

A very solid result, and SG continues to flourish.

Lafferty has 78 goals in 343 games in his club career to date, a strike rate of 0.22 goals per game.  Mark Hately played 500 club goals and scored 182 goals for a strike rate of .036 goals per game.  Duncan Ferguson has 98 in 360, SR 0.27

Laff isn't a prolific scorer, but then again not all strikers are, they bring other things to the team...

Hateley and Ferguson were light years ahead of Lafferty. They don’t belong in this topic. It’s an irrelevant comparison.

Lafferty is a mediocre SPL level journeyman and we need far better.
