  1. All very poor players when they came to us. Their nationality is irrelevant. We also signed Rae that summer who was useless.
  2. No, players like Numan, Ferguson, Amoruso and Caniggia left and were replaced by players like Capucho, Emerson and Ostenstad.
  3. There has been plenty focus on that and it's because of the lack of quality of the opposition that it's all the more grating. Semi-pros are part-timers, it's the same thing. You can only be called a pro if you do it as a full-time occupation. The fact they found us out had nothing to do with their quality and everything to do with us being incredibly poor.
  4. I'm not entirely convinced either. Perhaps it's a better idea for everyone to get this verified first before crying corruption.
  5. This has all been explained to you hundreds of times before. One off cup matches will always bring up surprises. Also, there is a severe lack of quality in the SPL, let alone the SFL 3 and 2, where the players are not even professional. The quality in those leagues is shocking.
  6. Gone with Brazil but see Chile shading it, they have a better team.
  7. In 02/03 we won the league with 1 Scot in the starting lineup. That's also the last time we had a particularly good team.
  8. You can't just ignore the quality of the opposition to justify your invalid argument.
  9. Even if he had great scouts at his disposal he'd still sign poor players.
  10. Where has anything been finalised? I don't even see anything concrete. The board most likely leaked a non event of a story to the press.
  11. All big clubs have to win. I don't see what catch 22 situation we were in. A club of our size winning the lower leagues in Scotland is about as big a challenge as Carl Froch having to fight against a 5 year old.
  12. Why do we have to restrict our player acquisition to a nation that's mince at football? If we ever do get a scout ( ) I'd get them as far away from Scotland as possible.
  13. Back on topic, it's quite clear to see Nerlinger was another case of the old RFC smoke and mirrors. The idea of a highlighly skilled negotiator like Nerlinger getting embroiled with us was always rather ridiculous.
  14. I think a plank of wood could come in and do a better job than Wallace and McCoist. As for Director of Football, I can only imagine my competition would in reality not be Christian Nerlinger (please stop laughing at the back) and would be more apt ascribed to the plank of wood or someone from Dundee.
  15. Very true, but at his best he was a more than decent Motherwell level midfielder that came from the third tier of English football. He is not OF level and needs to be canned. Folk are in for a shock when we are in the SPL.
  16. Following on from the line of succession of Woods, Goram, Klos and McGregor? He might do you but he's not even near enough the standard I expect. GK is something we have excelled in and he is not befitting of such. He is horrific. There is a reason he found himself in League 2 at 26. Can just see Celtic quaking in their boots. Shouldn't be anywhere fucking near us. See above Has been a complete and utter let down in all honesty. He's 25, the novelty is wearing thin. Punted out to Greenock doesn't say a lot. Apparently didn't do well either. Personally I'd like to see him get another chance though. We'll see, Miller's game is reliant on pace and as such he will go rapidly downhill soon. As for the rest..... Do I even need to bother here. You said it. Never had it. Agreed, potentially more than that in fact. No just get rid of him. Sad face that we ever signed such an atrocity. No future, get rid. Note sure what's worse, the fact such a poor footballer ever played for us, or the fact he betted against us on 3 occasions and still continued to play. A non event
  17. It's quite ironic that if we win the league this season we will need to go back to the old spend, spend, spend culture to survive. The money won't be there and if it's spent we will go bust again. Not a lesson was learned. We as a club are completely doomed, I'm not sure how anyone can see differently. Even if a single competent, intelligent person with a vision was employed by our club that would be a start. In fact if a half decent bottom level Scottish manager got employed that could get a team capable of passing the ball about more than 3 or 4 moves at a time, that would be something.
  18. One of our worst ever signings. A totally inept footballer, devoid of any talent. When you add up his transfer fee and wages we must have blown nigh on £8m on that fud. Is it any wonder we went bust. Walter was hugely overrated.
  19. What did Killie do for him? He scored 25 goals for them, I think they got the better end of the deal.
  20. McCulloch was never any use in the first place. The prospect of him playing another season in defence at 36 is pretty terrible.
  21. Surely Daly is not on £12k a week . Earning more than the entire squads put together of the part-timers we looked so poor against? The guy isn't fit to be playing sport of any kind.
  22. Lets face it, aside from Boyd, Macleod and Wallace we need a whole new team for the SPL. I doubt we will get more than a good season out of Miller.
