I can only say it so many times: sometimes Referees miss things; they're human. It makes sense to have VAR to identify things they miss.
-
The extra time is not just for VAR; it's for all time wasting. That was the directive announced at the start of the season. Your argument is all over the place.
-
@compo thinks it's not even a booking; @Fa1833 thinks it's a yellow; I think it's a red. But it's VAR's fault because it doesn't agree with you? Come on...
-
Referees don't see everything. The referee does have the power to go with VAR or not. There have been a few instances where the referee has stuck with his decision.
-
Your issue is not with VAR, it's with the interpretation of the rules. The VAR referee thinks it could be a red. You think it's a yellow. It's not 100% either way. The referee missed it completely; VAR spotted it. VAR did its job. The rules and their interpretation can and must always be improved.

It was a red (or yellow) card. The referee missed it. VAR spotted it.

If he was in control his studs wouldn't have been up at Clyne's neck. If he was in control he would have just taken the ball, foot on the ground, without contact with the player.
-
I don't see the issue with this latest decision. There's not much force in it, fortunately, but you can't slide in like that with studs at knee level. Calvert Lewin is not in control.

Was it the Mendes shot that Carroll fumbled? Two former Rangers players.

I quite like the profile of Dennis and Alzate: they're quick, mobile players who can play in several positions. Dennis is not a goalscorer, though. Shankland is a goalscorer, but I agree, I doubt - and would be quite uncomfortable if - we're paying £5m for him; I was similarly miffed at spending that on a 28-year-old Dessers! I would like a goalscorer, but I think I'd prefer us to spread the goals around; if Sima, Cantwell, McCausland, Danilo, Dessers, Silva (albeit he has 6 months) etc. can get 10-15 goals each, that's better than relying on Shankland getting 25-30 goals.

What are your thoughts, folks?

I thought Goldson was at fault for allowing Killie some dangerous openings, mainly by being too aggressive and leaving his position. The most alarming one was when Butland had to make that one-on-one save from Vassell (sp?) as Goldson had charged forward to press nothing leaving acres of space. His distribution of the ball was sublime, though.
