I don't disagree, but if there's a straight choice between a striker that has scored 10 penalties and a striker that has scored 10 non-penalty goals, any reasonable observer takes the latter.

Goals are goals at the end of the day, but there is a reason why we prefer to look at Non-penalty goals as a stat.

Fabio Silva was playing for Porto at 17, and did well for such a young lad. Show any sort of potential in Portugal and the price tag is automatically huge. Wolves signed him for £35m (?), but he was one for the future. He was thrust into the first team after Jimenez's head injury and living up to that mantle was too much for him, understandably. His confidence since then has been shot. Loans at Anderlecht and PSV show he maybe needs to take a drop down in level to get regular minutes. He's still only 21. If we can give him regular minutes we could make a bit of money on him - almost like Tillman, if we had signed him. He looks like he could deal with the physical side of our game. Give him chances, get his confidence up and it could be promising. I'm much more content with this sort of move over a £5m move for Dessers...
