I always wondered what would happen when our resident ego met another similarly-sized ego...

Alex Rae isn't a coach - I'd be appalled if he was! - he's an assistant that knows the club. I wouldn't have picked Rae per se, but I'd want someone that knows the club helping out the manager. McAllister did a similar role well.

He's technically a Right-winger, but can play left cutting in onto his dominant right-foot.

He's a good option, but as PC said, he can't play 90 minutes every three days; he's not ready.

Cantwell wide right is forced, as PC said in his press conference. He's a #10, or wide left cutting in; the latter was his usual position at Norwich. Matondo is a RW, but again has been injured. We've got very few wide options because we've not played with wide players too often. It's a choice. It's not wrong, per se - although it is an issue now when we want to play with wide players.

Lammers is not a #10. I don't understand why he's continually played there. He's a forward, and - if we're to get anything out of him - must be played there. Although, he's behind Danilo and a fit Roofe, for me.

I think Ferguson is in talks with Juventus. It was almost unanimous among the support that he wasn't good enough for us.

I doubt he'll have enough time to be personally involved much in this window, but I'm hopeful our new data-driven approach will prove successful - better than Beale's wee address book, anyway...

It's a step up for Koppen, after several years in various scouting roles. 'Director of Football Recruitment' sounds like a change in role from a pure DoF. That's not necessarily a bad thing as we do require a recruitment specialist. PSV seem to have assembled a really good squad. We've taken a Head of Performance from Brighton, too. It doesn't say what he did at Brighton, though. Taking ideas from Brighton can't be a bad thing.

There are definite improvements, but he can only work with the tools he has.

Oh, I see! I thought you meant he was taking up a spot in the match-day squad that could be filled by one of our players that isn't.

The fans booing and groaning at every little thing is becoming a problem. For example, last night they started to moan when Cifuentes passed the ball back to the 'keeper. Did they not realise that there was (a) no pass on, and (b) three defenders around him so if he gave it away it would probably be a 4-on-1 attack? It was the correct pass.
