The only thing I'd criticise MB for is our lack of creativity (not today, but in general - I didn't watch the game): we're not the most creative, which is the manager's remit, at the end of the day. I believed he was more expansive in his style than SG because, by all accounts, his QPR side was quite creative. They tended to play a 3-4-2-1, I think. Whether it's because he can't implement that just now, as he has come in half-way through a season, and needs a pre-season, or whether he's not as expansive as I thought, I don't know. Hopefully he just needs a pre-season.

Agreed. I've been saying it for a while. I think a sweeper-'keeper helps us in build-up and helps alleviate one of our main weaknesses, which is balls in-behind / over the top.

I'm not watching - I can't - but if the referee saw a foul, VAR can't overturn it because it's not a 'clear and obvious error', it's a matter of interpretation. Var doesn't work like that, anywhere. If the referee missed a foul, then they'd ask the referee to look again. Our referees are particularly incompetent, so there will be bad interpretations.

VAR can't magically instil competence.

You will not see me challenge either of those birds... You're trying to pigeonhole all 'Potter-style' managers. Being able to deal with pressure is not linked to style of football one coaches, IMO.

I don't think they need time at all. Potter improved Swansea and Brighton pretty quickly, in terms of play-style.

That's certainly a big question mark. But he's not managing elite players at Ibrox. It would be a good move for him, to manage under that pressure. Win a treble or two, and get another stab at a top PL club. I think he's a good coach, so I'm blinded, though.
