I think we have; we just haven't follwed through by selling them. Morelos, Kamara etc. should/could have been sold ages ago.

McLaughlin is better, IMO. I would still prefer McLaughlin to McGregor. A sweeper-keeper is just someone who can burst off his line. There are many 'keepers that can do that. Of course, we can't afford to sign Allison; our choice will have flaws. I've always argued that a sweeper-keeper would benefit this team greatly. I would love to see McCrorie get a chance.

My response was regarding Mal's position. I don't have an issue with your view that Cantwell's stats don't make good reading. I can't argue with it; it's there in black-and-white. I, personally, think he would be a good signing, though; mainly based on him at his peak two years ago. He was a stunning player to watch at times. I also think it makes sense financially: if we can get him back to anywhere near his best we'll make good money on him.

You're getting dragged into a silly binary argument. Cantwell is a good signing. Lowry is ready to play in our first team; even if it is off the bench.

Four signings would be great business. The squad is still in need of trimming, though.
