We can't afford a 'keeper without any weaknesses in his goalkeeping. It's my contention that a sweeper-keeper rather than a shot-stopper would better support the team.

Positional roles change. Goalkeepers now have to do so much more. We're limited if we continue with a pure shot-stopper.

My issue was not the 'quality' of the 'keeper but the style of the 'keeper. A shot-stopper, I would argue, is not necessary. I would put up with a 'keeper that has a mistake in him if he fits with the style of the team, that makes the team better.

Why are we being dragged down to their level. It's a handball. It's not a penalty.

The following is a video (4:43 mins long) describing Man Utd's problem with David Deg Gea. I can't help see the parallels with McGregor. The irony is, that the types of situations where McGregor shines (shot-stopping) is when we're not playing well, i.e. conceding a lot of shots, and vice versa. If we're going to dominate a game properly, we need a high line; and if we play a high line, we need a 'keeper that can patrol that area in-behind.
