You've been arguing against a 'project' appointment for weeks - is Beale not a project? I've always argued that Beale is a talented coach, but I just think this comes too soon for him; he's only been in the door 5 minutes at QPR, and his record his patchy. I see this as a disappointing appointment - mainly because there are better, more experienced options out there.

The experience is good. He worked with Arsene Wenger for several years. I've jumped the gun, there. I'm just finding it difficult to get over my disappointment in this appointment.

On paper, GvB's backroom team looked good. Going by what they did, no - especially the fitness coach. Hopefully Beale brings Culshaw and Milsom back.

Banfield's experience looks OK, but he seems 'old-school'. Watling has no experience and even that is at a poor level. (Can you delete my OP? I split my comments from the other thread into this one, but it's taken over the OP! Sorry!)

I'm not going to look for it, but he said it not too long ago, iirc. Mistaken, or not good enough? Both can be correct, I suppose. 90% of teams have a DoF model. There's clearly a benefit. Its a wonder they all get their manager positions filled... ? A coach worth their salt can do the job.

You either move the goalposts or make up your own argument to argue against. I've always said I didn't expect us to beat Liverpool or Napoli. But I do expect us to put up a fight. That means not shipping 7 (SEVEN) goals! We're now just going around in circles.

I think some input and final say is about right. GvB himself said he was happy with the squad. And he accepted the job knowing full well our recruitment model.
