  1. I love Potter...
  2. Probably, but if we drop a lot of points, I think his position will be untenable.
  3. Damn... That was my fear when he was appointed, but I got caught up in the excitement.
  4. Yes, threads do stray. I thought I'd try and shift it back on topic, but that's a lost cause now, I suspect. I thought you were the first to bring up off-field issues? Apologies if not. Valid points, but nothing to do with the thread. It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine, to be honest: bringing off-field issues into the criticism of on-field performances.
  5. Come on, folks. Frankie puts a lot of work into collating the data throughout the season. It would be nice if you could vote. I know it's difficult after such a game, but it makes the whole vote irrelevant if we only have a MotM after a good performance - there wouldnt be many!
  6. Your points have no relevance to the topic of the thread. It comes across like you're upset at a defeat and are dredging up any grievance to stick the knife in - same with the RSA tweet, for me. Your points are valid, but maybe open another thread?
  7. Plumbing and sanitation?
  8. I am old enough to remember when we beat PSV. Heroes to a man. To have a side like that now-- Wait.
  9. He probably would, but he'd get a lot more out of this team than GvB. I disagree with this. That's not to say it's not lacking: I've wanted an #8 for a while; RW is bare; we need more forwards/inside forwards etc. Agreed. I've never thought he had it in the first place. His European exploits mystify me.
  10. ... Ugh.
  11. I suppose I'll post the MotM thread...
  12. No - it's different (we use wingers - SG had two #10s), but it's still stale AF.
  13. What's the question? Has Scoulding left? Yes. Is Park involved in transfers? Yes... he's a scout. Maybe better to say he's involved in scouting players, rather than transfers.
  14. I don't disagree with you, but it's not personnel, for me. (Of course, that plays its part: they do have good players.) It's the manager's philosophy. GvB's approach is stale. Switch the managers around, and we win.
  15. I've thought this from his first game - or, at least after their shaky start. He's not done it at a great level (i.e. Australia and Japan), but he's a good coach; he has a philosophy that he can implement. I remember when we were linked with Ange after Pedro, I think? Maybe before Pedro, actually. I was receptive to that move, but concerned about his 'level'.
  16. You keep saying that several players don't want to be here. Where are you getting this from?
  17. This is old news. Scoulding is joining 'Spurs, John Park comes in as a senior scout, but I believe it's not a direct replacement. 'Donkeys'? I don't know enough about who they signed, but Van Dijk, Wanyama and Dembele are not bad.
  18. I know I'm in the minority with that opinion, but seriously, what would be the result if we swapped managers? (And they had their new squads up to speed.)
  19. Have we ever actually played well under GvB? ('Well' as in attractive, attacking football.)
  20. I maintain that the squad is actually fine, albeit lacking in some areas (i.e. #8, RW and ST). It's the tactical approach that's the real issue, for me. This lies with the manager.
  21. A new manager... ?
  22. JUST YIELD THE POINT, SIR!
  23. You don't change the 'keeper after one mistake. He's been... adequate. There are bigger issues.
