  1. A low scoring round, but an advantage goes to those three that picked Ure as FGS. Correct Result (1 pt): Everyone who entered. Correct Number of Rangers Goals (1pt): Rousseau, compo, Yorkie, NV and SBG. FGS (2 pts): Devil, buster and Ian. Correct Score (3 pts): - Latest Standings:
  2. Zukowski is leaving, if not left already, I believe?
  3. I'd like to see a good few youngsters get a game, alongside those that need minutes (Davies, Red Van etc.).
  4. Oh dear. How sad. Wait--could they not have waited until we played them?!
  5. Southampton have had a £21m bid rejected for PSV's Cody Gakpo.
  6. 'Undisclosed'. I was convinced we got him for nothing, but it appears there was a fee involved. We did accept an offer from Birmingham. I remember at the time, it sounded like a good deal. I might have just made the whole thing up...
  7. Still last season. The accounts end in June (?).
  8. I don't see us spending £20m this summer, regardless of what we've sold. I think that's unreasonable. Considering what we've been through. Looking at the number again, though, I would be hopeful that we could get another body or two in.
  9. I think Bacuna was a profitable trade. I'm convinced it was the plan all along. We had the opportunity to get him for nothing, then sell him on. He was too good a player not to use, IMO.
  10. You're just adding up what you want, going back years, to arrive a some big number, and thinking, 'oh - yes, we should be spending close to that in this widow'. I don't think that's how businesses run. That was last season.
  11. Last season we signed Zukowski and Bacuna for money, but I doubt Ramsay and Lundstram are/were earning peanuts. We signed Sands too, which has an option to buy for £6m (?). I think it's silly to expect to spend 100% of this income on new signings. We can argue if it was well-spent, or not - not, in this case - but that was last season. Leave that to one side and focus on this season.
  12. That was last season. Do you want to include the money we got from Alan Hutton too?
  13. Club Brugge have just signed a striker for £13.6m! They've spent £30m after selling £50m worth of talent (60% reinvested). We've spent £10.7m (excluding Tillman and academy signings) after selling £27.1m (39% reinvested). Seeing this, we could see another signing. I would like a #8 or a forward that can play wide and up front.
  14. Scott Parker sacked by Bournemouth.
  15. Have we not spent enough? We're at about £12m, excluding Tillman and all the academy signings.
  16. Could they not have waited until the last day of the window... ?
  17. To be fair, Guimaraes and Wilson were recently injured, and their new signing, Isak, wasn't available.

Yes, 'does nothing' is very harsh, but it was just to exaggerate the comparison between the two players.
  19. That's a more reasonable position to take. I would still disagree with you, though. We've got Davies and King, who will play a lot, I think. And then we have Helander and Souttar, if they every regain fitness...
  20. You just said we "need to get Helander fit or prioritise a left central defender". If that's not suggesting Sands is dropped, or moved on completely, I don't know what is. Sands can play CB and RB, too; has done so for NY. What's your point?
  21. I made this point in the MotM thread: why do we need to drop a player just because he has flaws? He needs to play to iron out these flaws. That's the only way he improves. As long as he has the tools, give him the games. I'll say it again: Bassey was terrible at CB in his first few games.
