  1. Oh, sh*t! Big Lundstram is coming on. For Roofe! WTF?! He maybe can't last the whole game?
  2. Well done Robby McCrorie for saving that! Out quick, stays big and smothers the space.
  3. I was just going to say, Barisic has been up for this, but nothing has come off for him. That was a good corner delivery by Borna, though.
  4. BIG FILLIP WITH THE HEADER!!
  5. Yes, I agree, to be honest. It's not coming off, but you still think it might...
  6. We are playing 4-4-2! I'd drop Kent for Hagi.
  7. HT 0-0. I can't fault the effort, but I'm not happy with our offensive play; it's so wasteful.
  8. Can we not just get our foot on the ball for a spell? Please.
  9. He's a bit like the whole team to be fair: the effort is there, but nothing is coming off.
  10. I can't fault the effort, but I don't think we've got any control in our attacks; it's all off-the-cuff and quite wasteful.
  11. Anyone else nervous... ?
  12. It's a shame Wright hasn't made it either. I would've liked him at least off the bench.
  13. That would be nice to see, but I highly doubt it. It'll be Balogun at RB, which he has done before.
  14. Never in doubt.
  15. I like Ole, and I always said he was a good appointment to steady the ship and get them back on track. But, he's not the answer to get them to the next stage.
  16. I'm intrigued to see if they can continue that form. It was their away form that propelled them up to second place, in stadiums that were empty. Now with full stadiums... Against Southampton, at St Marys, they went behind, then got back into it and it looked like it was only a matter of time before they ran away with it, but it just fizzled out.
  17. I thought it was a good move from Man City and Ronaldo: they needed a striker to score goals; Ronaldo is a proven goalscorer that wants to score and win trophies. But then, I don't like players betraying the loyalty of clubs to sign for rivals. However, Man Utd swooped in at the last minute. They are not in desperate need of a striker, with Greenwood and Cavani around, but they do need someone who can score goals. Year after year, Man Utd fans like Gary Neville say they need to go and spend £100M on a couple of players to challenge, and it's never worked. They've spent a ridiculous amount since SAF retired. There are no more excuses now, for me; they have a good squad. I still don't see them challenging, though. It's because of the manager. Ole is just not an elite coach, compared to Guardiola, Klopp and Tuchel. That's the difference. They've had elite managers in the past, but didn't have the squad. If you put Guardiola, Klopp or Tuchel in charge of this Man Utd team, you win the league. It would be nice to see Man Utd challenge again, but it would also be f*cking hilarious to see them fail with no excuses in terms of their squad.
  18. "Juventus seduced Ronaldo with a contract worth well over $100 million [$30M per year], and the deal already seems to be paying off. According to The Guardian, the team sold 520,000 shirts bearing Ronaldo’s name within just 24 hours of the merchandise being released. To put that into perspective, beIN Sports reports that the team sold just 850,000 shirt during the entirety of the 2016/2017 season. Business Insider estimates that these Ronaldo-related purchases translate at least $60 million in sales..."
  19. I expect him to score a bucket-load for the B-team.
  20. I would have taken that beforehand: all are beatable, with a somewhat glamour tie thrown in.
  21. Lyon have started the season poorly, but actually play some nice stuff. They're coached by Peter Bozc, who led Ajax to a Final against Man Utd. It'll be tough but, if they don't improve defensively they can be breached. The other two are beatable too - we just have to get out of our slump!
