  1. That Hitler video has been around for ages, but it never gets old. Brilliant.
  2. I don't think they've been "done" for several days. There is that usual tabloid tripe that gets bandied about, as you know, but nothing's been completed. Defoe was expected to take his medical over the weekend, and join up before the Tenerife trip. The Davis stuff is just rumour, I think? Southampton announced they'd let him go, and I think we're interested, but that's it. Hopefully, we're in talks. The USA guys seem to have dropped off the face of the earth. But again, all we know is that they had a trial, or were on trial.
  3. Rossiter is done, IMO. I suspect he's a replacement for Coulibaly; the destroyer type that can play deep or as an 8. At the very least, he's one of the most promising youngsters in the league, so to tie him up for us is a great piece of business. It's certainly not 4 players vying for 1 position like you're suggesting.
  4. Hopefully we can get Jones and Kamara in this month, for a modest fee. Not sure what their clubs would prefer? Dundee might prefer the cash; Kilmarnock might prefer the player for 6-months.
  5. I've liked Kamara for a while now. He always looked like one of the best young players in the league. From the videos, he looks like a pre-dip Coulibaly, but with more technical skill and composure. Along with Docherty, Kamara was always very high in the stat charts -- I still think Docherty has a future with us, going by what Gerrard said; two players very much for the future. Jones is a good squad player to get. He's been one of the top performing players in the league. He adds depth to our forward line. Defoe excites me; simply for his name and career. I'm not sure where he'll play, but having his quality to add to our squad will be invaluable; at the very least just being around the players, helping the strikers -- top class striker in his day -- and he could help Morelos too. His general fitness and approach to training is allegedly second to none. And, Davis is exactly the type of player we've been crying out for. Superb start to the transfer window. Not much outlay, if any, good quality added, and squad players and options for the future.
  6. I think Jones is more of an inside forward, which we don't have -- Middleton and Kent are wingers -- and he can also play all along the front line, LW, RW and #10. I think he's a good signing.
  7. I thought the signing of Defoe was highly unlikely, but I can't lie: I'm rather excited by it. He was a top class striker / finisher in his day. Don't know where he's going to play, though?
  8. Bradley Lowery was the child who had cancer; a young Sunderland fan who took a shine to Defoe, and vice versa, when he visited him in hospital. Young Bradley died a year or two ago.
  9. Defoe is also seeking first-team football; I find that equally unlikely with us.
  10. Sky Sources: Southampton will allow Steven Davis to rejoin Rangers, if personal terms can be agreed. Davis has 6-months left on his contract, but wages may be the stumbling block.
  11. He shouldn't even be shooting: cut it across for the tap-in! It's a real bugbear of mine.
  12. When you need to nip to the shops after the game...
  13. Steven Gerrard: "Andy Halliday is my unofficial captain". I thought Halliday was immense today. That first crunching tackle set the tone.
  14. I would also like my moment to gloat... *cough* @DMAA *cough* ... that was how a 4-3-3 should be played -- by us, anyway. Tight, compact, runners from the 8 position, nice triangles, runners in-behind, number in the box, with threats from out wide.
  15. I hate to bring down the mood, but if we were more composed that could have been a real battering. However, that was a magnificent performance. Every one of them were immense; Kent, Halliday, Jack, Arfield, McCorie, Tavernier... the list goes on. Immense.
