I'm pleased with Hardie signing an extension to his deal. Hopefully he can make a push for a first-team berth. We're very light up front, so I do expect a signing or two.

I expect France to Win too -- I went for 1-0 -- but the majority have went for a big win, and used their Joker on it. I don't see it being a big scoring game. I may be wrong.

Sure, just give me your predictions for the rest of the fixtures. But, I'll exclude the Russia match, and you don't get a joker card for these fixtures.

I wouldn't underestimate how solid Australia will be. They are managed by Van Marwijk (sp?), who took Netherlands to the Final of the Euro's playing defensive football. It's a different situation when your expected to go out and win, as against Japan et al., than simply trying to avoid defeat against France. IMO.

Russia were not that great; Saudi Arabia, although starting lively, didn't do anything and were terrible defensively. 5-0 flattered them, I think.

I think it was based on the Sky Sports Reporter saying that those players were there at the training ground as Gerrard arrived, implying that they were meeting Gerrard without actually saying it.

As said elsewhere, I can see a 3-4-3 being deployed. McGregor Katic - Alves/McCrorie - Goldson Tavernier - Jack - Dorrans - John Windass - Arfield Morelos Those inside forward roles are difficult to predict: anyone two of Murphy, Windass, Candeias, Ejaria, Arfield can all play there. Docherty and Rossiter could come into the midfield two, too.

Yes, me too. He switched to that with the Liverpool U18s. We have quite a few attacking/winger-type players to fit in, and now with more CBs it looks like a 3-4-3 would fit the personnel.
