Yes, Hagi was number 7. Also, I think number 10 is unallocated - another number you'd think would be popular -

He can play all across the front-line, his numbers were best when he played for PSV on-lone. PSV fans raved about him. Weirdly, he was replaced there by Tillman. Might be wrong but think the loan fee is to cover his wages. Getting him on loan is a major boost for the club as he had options in Holland and Germany and Celtic were also majorly interested. -

How does this compare to Shanklands time in Belgium? -
Dear Contributor, Since June of this year members of the Club 1872 Board have had a series of positive meetings with RIFC Chairman John Bennett and CEO James Bisgrove. The purpose of the meetings was to re-establish major shareholder engagement with RIFC. We are pleased to say that those discussions have yielded not only an agreement to return to regular and meaningful dialogue between Club 1872 and RIFC but also a wider framework of cooperation whereby RIFC will extend its assistance, wherever possible, to helping Club 1872 develop for the benefit of the wider Rangers Community. Subject to the approval of Contributors the following specific matters have been discussed and agreed in principle. 1) RIFC and Club 1872 will work together to identify suitable investment opportunities, which will enable the Club to carry out much needed redevelopment work at Ibrox while allowing the Club to prioritise funding on football related matters. This will both enable Club 1872 to grow its shareholding in the Club while at the same time funding initiatives which will benefit both the Club and the wider Rangers community. Details of the first such joint initiative will be shared with Contributors in the coming weeks. 2. Regular meetings will take place between Club 1872 and the CEO, James Bisgrove as well as meetings with the Chairman and other directors to facilitate and allow Club 1872 an opportunity to discuss important shareholder issues. In the coming weeks we will detail to Contributors how they can feed into those regular discussions. 3. In addition there will be at least two separate meetings throughout the season, specifically designed to give Contributors an opportunity to meet with and discuss shareholder issues with representatives of the Club. The first such meeting is proposed for Q1 of 2024 at which the CEO, accompanied by the Executive team; Karim Virani (Chief Commercial Officer), Nils Koppen (Director of Football Recruitment), James Taylor (Chief Finance Officer) and Creag Robertson (Director of Football Operations) will make a presentation on Club strategy until 2030. They will also take questions on a range of issues. The meeting will take place at Ibrox and will also serve as the Club 1872 annual Contributors meeting for 2023, with the 2024 meeting taking place in the summer. 4. Rangers will once again make office space available at Ibrox Stadium in the new year for Club 1872. This will allow us to better interact with Contributors and make it more convenient for them to engage directly with us. 5. Finally, Shareholder privileges such as VIP Hospitality tickets and Directors Box seating will be returned to Club 1872. This will allow us to return to hosting our Contributors in the Directors box in the new year and to once again provide Rangers-themed Contributor experiences throughout the year. We would like to thank both John Bennett and James Bisgrove for engaging with us in recent months and we look forward to re-establishing a positive relationship with the RIFC board moving forward. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our Contributors for their continued support in 2023. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and we wish you a happy new year when it comes. Club 1872

I understand that, and you are correct. Hearts will rightly want as close to £5M as they can get, but I'd be looking for similar or more if we were looking to sell Tav. We'd be off our heads to entertain Hearts at that price for Shankland. I'd take a punt on hom, but at 28 he has no resale value and we shouldn't be paying anywhere near that for him. -

Hahaha- retarded? Really? Anyone can score penalties? Sure thats true, but can anyone score penalties on a constant basis? But I'm sure any player can score a non-penalty goal - in fact I've seen keepers scoring both. It's not about x striker scores x amount of goals, or y striker scored y amount of goals, but how they fit into a system of plating football (unless we're discussing the world class players who'll score goals in any system.) -

Are you talking about Shankland, Silva or both? -

Am I? How so? How is a converted penalty "less" of a goal than a non-penalty? -

But is it? Do Hearts face teams who play negative football with 10 men behind the ball for 90mins? It could be argued that scoring goals for Hearts is easier than scoring goals for Rangers. -

But we are not discussing that scenario. In that case you are correct, but whilst considering Shankland, Silva (and Tav) it's not applicable -

Really? Tav scored 2 in the League Cup Final, Shankland scored 1. We got to the final where Tav scored the winning goal. They were hugely important goals. Tav also scored in every round in our run to the EL Cup Final, again highly important goals for the team / club. -

Where does it stop? Do we then look to take out deflected goals? Goals that weren't meant? A goals a goal and all are rightly counted. -

Well apart from the £35M transfer....... or that he is just 21 and a bright prospect who was interesting clubs in top leagues. Do we take away Shanklands pens from his goal scoring record when discussing him? -

Not really, but had decent loan spells in Belgium and Holland. It appears Koppen was key to the deal. -
