  1. I can't find it on any English language sites yet but it is on the Dutch websites. They have to pay roughly + 23.000 pounds. A referee had already been appointed for the game but he had been advised the teams would not be appearing.
  2. I just heard on a Dutch football programme that Chapecoense the Brazilian team who were killed in an airplane crash received a fine from the Brazilian Football Association for not turning up for the last game which they were travelling to when the plane crashed. They said FIFA rules didn't give them any choice they had to fine both teams for not turning. I thought the poppy saga was crazy but this takes the biscuit. FIFA is a joke if this could not have been dealt with as an individual case.
  3. Okay i must have missed that. I have Frankie on ignore. It's a joke!
  4. Is that so? I thought as long as there was a link. I will refrain until Frankie advises me.
  5. THE RANGERS first team squad and manager Mark Warburton paid a festive visit to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow today and handed over a donation of £10,000 from the Rangers Charity Foundation to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. The donation, which the players contributed to personally, is funding Christmas decorations and activities for the wards and a specialist Laser Pen – an important piece of equipment to help young cancer patients. The laser pen treats Oral Mucositis, a debilitating and painful side effect of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and will help to make children undergoing cancer treatment much more comfortable. The squad chatted with children, parents and staff, signed autographs and handed out goodie bags on the wards as part of the visit. The Hospital is already looking very festive after players from Rangers Under 17 and Under 20 squads, along with Foundation and Club staff and volunteers, helped to decorate the wards recently. Rangers Manager Mark Warburton commented: “We’re delighted to come along today and meet some of the kids and their parents, as well as members of staff who are doing such a great job. “It’s tough for kids to be in hospital at this time of year, so if we can lift their spirits in any way, we’re happy to help. The donation from the Foundation will also make a huge difference and allow Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity to make sure there’s plenty of fun and activities on the wards. “The Hospital is looking very festive – the young players clearly did a great job of putting up the Christmas decorations – and I’m delighted at the first team’s desire to contribute personally to today’s donation and also to some of the Foundation’s other Christmas initiatives. “We’re thinking of all the children and their families who are in hospital at this time of year and on behalf of everyone at Rangers Football Club and the Rangers Charity Foundation would like to wish them a Merry Christmas.” Connal Cochrane, Director of the Rangers Charity Foundation said: “We hope today’s donation will really help to add those special extras to Christmas time at the Hospital which can make all the difference to the children who have to be there. “We’re also pleased to be able to purchase the Laser Pen to treat Oral Mucositis, which can really cause severe pain in the children’s mouths and increase their risk of infection. “I’d like to thank our supporters, whose commitment and generosity has made this donation possible, and the First Team Squad for their personal donation and for taking the time to come along to the Hospital today.” Kirsten Sinclair, Director of Fundraising at Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Rangers Football Club and the Rangers Charity Foundation for their ongoing support and commitment throughout 2016. “The annual team visit is always a highlight of the year, and it really does help to bring some joy, laughter and Christmas spirit to our young patients and their families. Being in hospital over the Christmas period can be difficult, and visits like this really help to make time in hospital a bit easier. “This incredible donation will go a long way to supporting the babies, children and young people who receive treatment and care at Scotland’s largest children’s hospital, and for this we are truly thankful. “From decorations and play apparatus, to specialised medical equipment and family support services, the donation kindly given by the Rangers Charity Foundation and its supporters will have a real and lasting impact on our young patients.” The visit was part of the Club and Foundation’s Christmas activities in the community which will see a host of local organisations benefit from donations.
  6. I wrote in my preview that i was disappointed in Holt over the last period so we obviously see things different. Halliday breaks so many attacks up before the defenders are called in he is the one that i would hate to miss
  7. Dario Gradi: Crewe Alexandra director suspended pending FA investigation 7 hours ago From the section Football Dario Gradi Dario Gradi was the manager of Crewe from 1983 to 2007 Crewe Alexandra director Dario Gradi has been suspended pending a Football Association investigation that will include looking into claims he "smoothed over" a complaint of sexual assault against a Chelsea scout in the 1970s. A former youth player at Chelsea - where Gradi was assistant manager - says he was assaulted by Eddie Heath, the club's chief scout, when he was 15. Gradi, 75, denies any wrongdoing and says he will help the FA's review. Heath, who has since died, has been accused by several people of abuse in the 1970s and 1980s. The BBC understands that the FA, as part of its widened review into child sex abuse allegations, expects to question Gradi after the Independent reported that, in 1974, he went to see the parents of a youth player at Chelsea about a sexual assault. The former youth player - who cannot be identified for legal reasons - told the newspaper: "He [Gradi] came to visit my parents and me to smooth it over. "I remember him saying something like: '[With] Eddie, [football] is his life and he gets a bit close to the boys. I'm sorry if he's overstepped the mark in his fondness this time.'" Child sex abuse claims: The story so far Chelsea are not known to have taken any action and Gradi has made no specific comments on this claim or his links with Heath. In a statement on Friday, he said: "Aside from denying any wrongdoing, it would be inappropriate and unfair on all parties to comment piecemeal through the media at this time in connection with historical allegations. "Suffice to say, I will do everything within my power to assist all investigatory authorities into what is becoming a wide-ranging and important enquiry into historical sexual abuse." League Two club Crewe Alexandra have not yet responded to a request for comment. The FA has given no indication about who will be spoken to as part of its review. Gradi has previously said he "knew nothing" about the alleged abuse of young footballers by anyone connected with Crewe until 1994 and that he then co-operated with the authorities. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38279170
  8. With all our summer signings except for Garner we are actually playing with all players that played in the championship.
  9. What a big wain I am that this got me excited. I wonder if we were playing feynoord or the Mhanks
  10. Agree stupidly I forgot about him. The thing with him though is he has glass legs and is regularly injured but I agree if he could get fit he would be a good answer.
  11. You are right I was wrong keep voting if you can.
  12. It is CET so it should be finished. Shit no it is only 23.00 theris still time to go.
  13. It should be closed now and we have WON!!!!! RANGERS 50.78% (14,469 votes) FEYENOORD 49.22% (14,026 votes)
  14. When we did see him there it was also with Halliday against Aberdeen IIRR and to be honest he didn't really stand out. That is the problem with struggling so much we have not been given the chance to play the back-up players.
  15. I hate to bring up such a negative thing but when Barton disappeared we left ourselves very short in the anchor-midfield role. The only peron really quoted for that positio is Crooks but with only about 90(?) miutes of first team football it is a big ask for him to step up to the mark. I can't really see anyone else that could play there. Maybe, possibly Danny Wilson could move forward but has he ever played there before. Is it a necessity to bring in a reputed defensive\central midfielder in January.
  16. Yes he came back on to the field which is illegal. The goal was correctly knocked off. Interesting to see what the sportscene pundits say.
  17. That doesn't work I keep getting you have voted today.
  18. bump. If you haven't voted yet today then do it please.
  19. Yes I voted again. Feynoord supporters will be getting ready for the match so now is the time to surge ahead. Get voting Bears Even if you voted yesterday you can vote again today. My son is a Feynoord supporter so it is also a prestige thing for me. I haven't informed him of the vote of course.
  20. Yes agree. I think he must have read my preview calling him Clarence because he has been excellent since. Wilson was also excellent yesterday and his long balls into space pushed hearts back time and again. Best performance of the season. We look another team from the beginning of the season where we looked like we were a rabbit caught in the headlights. All of a sudden we are hunting in packs again closing down opponents quickly. Night and day turn around. Hopefully we can keep this level of performance up. I doubt we can catch Celtic, although nothing is impossible, but beating them on Hogmany would give us a massive boost to a European place.
  21. Really close now, only about 30 votes in it. Too many Scots in the pub.
  22. Did Warburton post that.
  23. We had to play today but they have to play tomorrow so if we can stay in front we should be able to stretch away tomorrow.
  24. Your right I never noticed that. It says today so maybe tomorrow. Feynoord are playing at 13.30 british time tomorrow a good time to stretch the vote to a winning distance.
  25. This is a perfect example of someone posting something and not explaining what it is about. I also had no idea before Boabie posted that article. The message on the website from them is also flawed in that I read well into the article and only read about the legal system in England and Scotland. Having read so much I got bored and gave up on reading it without having a clue what the website is about. Animal abuse should have jumped out at me from the start. What can I give a shit about the legal system in England and Scotland. I don't suppose any of them will read this but they really want to get their message across in a far better way.
