  1. One last post on this it looks like Eurosport are covering the tournament.
  2. Scotland u21's v Iceland u21.s 18.45 CET
  3. Germany u20's are playing England u20's shortly. 18.00 central European time
  4. It always amazes me how some of the small teams seem to be able to sell tens of thousands of tickets for a cup final but have less than a thousand on a weekly basis. I am not specifically talking of Peterhead.

    Fernando.

Never one of my favourite players either but I wouldn't wish his sickness on anyone. Funny enough he said he was probably on the happiest time of his life as he was at peace with everything and he never had that during his good years.

    Fernando.

He was on Dutch TV tonight. He was actually looking well although his speech has become very impaired. Even my wife who is Dutch was struggling to understand him. Well in retrospect she doesn't even understand me. He is bringing out a magazine in Holland which he is quoted as saying" Giving up? NEVER! He is taking untried pills made in Russia which he thinks may gain him precious time but he knows he is clutching at straws. He did say that since taking the pills his lungs have have become larger which is a big improvement in what he can do. Although he has a lift upstairs he still refuses to use it and will only walk up the stairs even although it costs him time and energy. I am not a big Fernando fan but nobody deserves this illness!

    Ex-gers...

Totally agree FS. I am trying to think of a player we signed twice and he came back as a world beater. The only one I can think of is Millers goal spree a few years ago. This time he has been mediocre at best.

    Ex-gers...

There are none that I would want back for pure football reasons. We have gone down the young hungry player route and we just have to better the young hungry players. I don't believe in bringing players back as I said in another thread.
  9. My skin is so thick I will be made into a handbag when I die. Telfer's contract was at an end. rangers even blundered in not offering him a new one as far as I can remember. He had little hope in getting a first team game under McCoist. I see the 2 circumstances completely different. if you don't agree then it is ma baw n' I'm gon hame.
  10. Let me make it clear that I personally have no grudges against anyone and if Rangers re-sign any of the players then it is fine by me. I am just stating what I see or think the facts are. I always said I do not think it is good to go back and sign ex players as more often than not it ends up not living up to expectations. Chris Boyd and Kenny Miller are perfect examples
  11. Only in hindsight. They had no idea what Green was like. The honourable thing to do for the club would have been to sign on again.
  12. What would have happened to the money is not really the point though as that was in hindsight. We never got a chance to do anything good with the money.
  13. Probably out the same door as much of the other 70 million. Greens Lawyers bill?
  14. While I would welcome 1 large supporters group I think there will be many legal issues to solve and many inflated ego's to overcome. This is just a comment from someone on the outside and not in the know.
  15. I don't think he was trying to belittle you but it was indeed a pretty stern reply. Ally and the players leaving has left a few sore spots. Some people do get het up about it. I personally think the difference is that we got a fee for Telfor whereas Naismith and co walked for free while still under contract making use of the situation at that time. Personally I disagree with John as I don't think you can liken 2 different situations.
  16. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if we had qualified for Europe under Whyte. I suppose more money would have went out the back door with maybe a short stay of execution.
  17. I bow to Archie McPherson the only one that understood what was happening.
  18. Sell him he is too old!
  19. You took the words right out my mouth D'Art. That is what I was thinking through all of the last posts. That they don't have to produce a total cost account is incredible and heads should roll on that one.
  20. It must be very frustrating for a club to bring a player through from 12 to16 and then see him disappear to their opponents. Did we not lose a player to Celtic recently?
  21. I prefer Waghorn wide on the right. I think he looks a far better player there.
  22. Newcastle United! I don't know about you but I don't want that for Rangers.
  23. From what I can remember it was 2-2. Ritche was Pathetic except for his goal and assist. Centre backs were poor and looked like cart-horses. Brown is the waste of a jersey and runs about like a headless chicken. Two world class goals gave us hope. 1 world class striker took it away.
  24. To be honest I think it is extremely possible that Ashely was involved in the Rangers Saga from day 1. Whether we like the SFA or or not we do have to be grateful they stopped Ashely in his tracks.

    Taxi!!!

There has been quite a lot happening in Scottish football the last few weeks. Celtic directors sent sent a letter out to their supporters asking them not to smell on match days. As if they don't smell on not match day's. Their 2015 year book will be looking at whether there is a connection between their dwindling support and the smell phenomenon. It will be called "Gone with the wind." Ronny Dahlia accused his players of being lazy after their cup game against Raith Rovers. It was leaked that he told Peter Lawell that he blamed the clubs Irish heritage. Lawell asked angrily how he came to that conclusion to which Dahlia said "They looked like they were wearing donkey jackets and leaning on Shovels" Unfortunately the first manager bit the dust when Mother(not so) well sacked Ian Baraclough . The Motherwell chairman said his players should hold their heads in shame. Well that'll help running about the park looking at the frigg'n grass. That'll win football games. What do Chairmen know? Rangers had a poor time in the league cup as well. Going in to the break 2-0 down against St Johnstone, the Rangers support were confident that Mark Warburton would reach into his magic hat and pull out a rabbit in the second half. Instead when St Johnstone scored after 53 seconds of the second half he was pulling out his hare. Up at Pittodrie, Hibs started against the mighty Aberdeen as no chance underdogs. After a 2-0 win they headed back to Edinburgh as trained sheepdogs. Rumours are that Alan Stubbs is down to make a special appearance on One man and his dog. While watching the European games on TV last week I heard Ally McCoist giving his pundit views on a live commentary. He has been hired by BT to do the European games, some Scottish games and the Chelsea Flower show. Peter Houston is in deep trouble with the SFA after he called referee John McKendrick a shitebag at the end of Saturday’s clash with Rangers at Ibrox. Why can't I get the picture out of my head of the SFA compliance officer Tony McGlennan sitting in an astronaut suit stating "Houston we have a problem" Police Scotland have been searching lorries heading for Lennoxtown after it was reported thousands of Celtic supporters were hiding in the lorries and jumping out at Lennox castle. They heard that the European union was freeing up millions to accommodate asylum seekers and thought they would get in on the act. Taxi!!!
