Who regards it as that? Mostly it is a perception from the 70's 80's. If you want a good indication then you really also have to look and see how many players they actually buy. I am not interested enough to check it all out but as I said before there were seasons when they had players watching from the stand who never pulled on a shirt for months.

AZ and Vitesse are both interested in Drost who still has 2 years to run on his contract so he won't be cheap. Vittess may have problems as their hands are tied due to the Fair play rules.

Well they say if you say something often enough it will become fact. -
Scandinavia is the market where many of the Dutch teams fish, There have been a few gems come out over the years. They also seem to be able to get them at a young age and have them in their development team for a year or so.

McCall shat it imo and decided to go with the old guard, Miller I could possibly understand but why Boyd was brought back in I will never understand,

Changed it for you but as far as I am aware everyone can change the heading in a thread they have started. You go to Edit post and then Go Advanced and there you can change the title. I can't check as I already have moderating powers so if someone would check it would make it clear. Thanks.

He may get a bit of stick.

I think you will find that statement is totally wrong. Ajax in fact developed very few of their players most were brought in as 17,18,19 year olds that other clubs developed. You could say their scouting system is good but as I have said often their youth academy is nowhere near the best in Holland.

Durrant! “We lost Ryan Hardie, so we’ve lost a lot of goals as he’s moved up to the first team. That’s excellent for the youth department, but we’ll look to get a forward who can score us goals.

Sounds Like Rangersitis! -
From what I have been reading Telfer isn't really setting the grass on fire. There is no club in the world that can solely depend on their own youth. From what I saw of our development team against Celtic we certainly can't.
-
To be honest I don't give a flying F*** about Celtic. I have no idea who plays for them apart from the Dutch guy as I can hardly avoid him. They have been totally off my radar for years now and will remain so. I suppose it is easy for me as I don't have British TV.

On this one i agree with Rangersitis. Gascoigne was a genius on the park but I have totally no respect for him as a person. -

T hats it with the personal insults mate. -
I believe it was their development team as they call them.
-
I would wait to see the result of this appeal to be sure of that. It would not surprise me if the result is turned around that they will make another attack.

Rangers Report Chronicling all of the News for Glasgow Rangers Football Club Talking Rangers and Spurs with Chris Miller Posted on July 9, 2015 by jamiecurrie Harry Winks: courtesy of the Daily Mail Harry Winks: courtesy of the Daily Mail On the cusp of Rangers’ trip to Hotspur way to play in a series of mini pre-season friendlies, I caught up with Chris Miller or Windy, as he is known amongst the online community. I asked him a few questions, particularly about Harry Winks and the potential link-up with Tottenham. Chris is a Spurs youth team enthusiast, who also features on The Fighting Cock Podcast, giving his weekly youth updates. So, it seemed reasonable that he was the man to go to with these questions. JC: Harry Winks has been linked with a loan move to Rangers, how possible do you think that is, and what type of player is he? CM: Well, from my perspective he could get a loan to League One or the Championship, so Rangers seems ‘beneath him’ in footballing terms. But he’d be working under Warburton and playing in front of big crowds, so I do see some logic behind it. JC: With Mark Warburton being installed as Rangers manager recently, what kind of relationship does he have with Spurs? i.e. signing loan players. CM: Firstly, he’s a Spurs fan, which helps. Secondly, he was one of the founders of the NextGen Series, which we participated in. There would inevitably have been lots of contact with him throughout this process, and he’ll have seen an awful lot of our academy (including the manager, John McDermott). I think the trust will only have grown after the success of Alex Pritchard at Brentford last season. JC: A follow-up to that last question, do you think Spurs are more likely to allow Warburton take nurture the youth products after the success of Alex Pritchard at Brentford last season? CM: Ah, yes. As above. Pritchard was well used, well supported, and clearly took great strides as the season went on. I think that will have encouraged our coaching staff. JC: Aside from Winks, is there any other Spurs youth talent that you could see joining Rangers on loan? CM: There are absolutely loads that would do a job at that level. I’d love us to send two or three together and see what Warburton can do with them. Oduwa, Winks and McGee, perhaps. JC: In terms of the games, how useful a workout do you think the game will be for your Development squad and Rangers? CM: At this stage in pre-season, it’s fairly meaningless and the opposition is largely irrelevant. It’s just a training exercise and helping them get a feel for things again after the break. Let’s just hope there are no injuries! http://therangersreport.com/2015/07/09/talking-rangers-and-spurs-with-chris-miller/

I think it is worth pointing out that the new board had nothing to do with any player signings from last season or any player contracts. The players that are left have a contract and it will cost a fortune to pay them off. Hopefully we can sell some of them on. The new board have been left with the players kept on. Why would the board release them before the new manager has had time to assess them. You really need to think things a little better through before trying to attack the board at every chance. Or are you on the Mediahouse payroll as well.
