  1. Issame Charaï , I presume. Assistant Manager on a 2.5 year contract, or thereby.
  2. I note that SpamFolder FC has sacked Anthony Docherty. Just sayin', but should he be added to the runners and riders? Perhaps @Rousseau will be along to accentuate the potential positives of such an appointment.
  3. ...who still, mirabile dictu, exists, will probe the perspicacious comments on officials, of Mr John Brown, during Rangers TV coverage of the match at Easter Road. Fortunately for Mr Brown, there are more than a few like cases , involving pederastyfootballclub, which were ignored, dismissed out of hand, or otherwise disposed of in a manner acceptable to that organisation. Precedents are set, but I am not holding my breath.
  4. So, farewell, then Barry Ferguson. You were called, and responded With head held high Looking down with sneerin', scornfu' view On that mhanky mhob Now you will be Club Ambassador No longer 'Gaffer' but 'His Excellency'. Sounds more important, Says Keith's maw.
  5. "...The missus has just had these new windows installed..."
  6. Contrariness, merely for the sake of it, does you no favours.
  7. He was, actually, from Azerbaijan. (At that time, you will recall, the country was part of the USSR, and, thus, under the wise guidance of LI Brezhnev.)
  8. Call me a technological primitive, if youse wull, but, if the VAR system can use its magic lines to demonstrate whether, at the goal line (or as near to it as makes no appreciable difference), the toe of a forward's boot is 'offside', then surely this wizardry can, in like manner, determine if a ball is in the net. What am I missing? Is there some technical reason that system's sorcery must stop at the goal line? (Actual goal line technology would be better, I concede.)
  9. Brilliant result. Well done Palace. Plenty of rent boys in London to console the anguished, and vanquished.
  10. I'll be disappointed if Davide Ancelotti is not engaged as Manager/Head Coach. I was looking forward to the tifo, welcoming him to Govan ....... ....or, maybe, and maybe more appropriately, welcoming pederast fhilth fc to the Ibrox Renaissance....
  11. You are neither a. A supporter of the real Rangers, nor b. A real supporter of Rangers unless you have this unassuming number in your wardrobe
  12. Yorkshire has a population about the same Scotland, and has no, current, sides in the EPL. Really, Leeds and at least one of the Sheffield teams should be there. Middlesborough? Meh....
  13. Don Carlo will leave RM and assume control of the Brazilian National XI. Who better to advise/recommend/give a heads up on up and coming Brazilian players to an up and coming manager in Europe? Just a thought. Another thought (oh, yes, there was a distinct rattle in the old napper this am): everyone talks about a profitable player development and trading model, which is important -vital, even- but if Ancelotti Minor is appointed, and is successful, it is likely he will be offski to higher status, more lucrative, pastures. How quickly would depend on his actual, and perceived, successes. (In fact, this would be true of any manager/coach.) Hence, there is, surely, a requirement to develop coaches: smooth, seamless, controlled, transitions being preferable to crunching the gearbox. It may be necessary, through failure, to redd out the off field staff, but, of course, the Club is in control of that kind of process, which it wouldn't be when some 'super club' offers to treble salaries, unless a line of succession is in place. Ancelotti is the bookies' strong favourite this morning, at 1/3. Of course, Stevie G was that price 10 days, or a fortnight, or so, ago. Cave: these markets are volatile.
  14. Thought you were 'cutting the grass'. ( I took that as a euphemism actually, so must assume a knock back - Sunday lunchtime? Not on your nelly! Or similar.)
  15. A front, clearly
  16. They say that Don Carlo has found it increasingly difficult, towards the impossible, to deal with a new generation of galacticos. That is not a problem he would encounter at Ibrox. A selling point, perhaps.
  17. One Mike McGrath.
  18. How about Russell Martin as Manager, with Gary O'Neill as his second in command? Then we would have our very own Martin O'Neill. Surely that would be popular, and the headlines would write themselves (saving money on PR, etc.)
