  1. Thank God that's over. Now it's on to backing Aberdeen, which it pains me to say. It's a bit like being forced to choose between getting the pox or the clap. Anyhoo, all together now: The Coronal Mass Ejections of Old Aberdeen Mean home, sweet home.................
  2. Sky advertising 'The Lazarus Project'. Does that seem, in some way, strangely appropriate?
  3. True, but it's Hearts of Oak that we need, now, this season.
  4. Happy talkin', talkin', happy talk Talk about things you'd like to do You've got to have a dream If you don't have a dream How you gonna have a dream come true? It's good to have some positivity, at last, and, dare I say, on field, and off field. It is only the beginning, of course, and The Man is having to play with the hand he has picked up. So far, it appears to me, he is doing pretty well, and with players many of whom we had consigned to the brock-bin only a few weeks ago. It is make do and mend, for the time being. Are we seeing, merely, the fabled 'new manager bounce', which, admittedly, is not really that high, which often ends with a reversion to the mean, in a matter of weeks? I'm not sure, but, for what it is worth, PC does not seem like the bouncy type. I think that he is shrewder, cooler, more anlytical, with an aversion to blethers, and blethering. As for the players, I do not think that they will/would be able to 'see-off' this Manger, readily. We'll see of course, but better organised football, more on the front foot is better to watch, and has so far been effective. It has, however, exposed a lack of fitness among the players, and that is a concern, albeit one which may be readily fixed in a fairly short timescale. The enigma of Lammers (and of Lammers' selections) remains, of course. Is he what is called a 'players' player'? I don't know. Maybe he is the only card that PC has in his current hand to play, a one-eyed Jack, or something. Don't ask me about Dessers.
  5. FFS! Man up. We can only beat ourselves!
  6. Caaaantweeeeeloooo! Fantastico!
  7. Daaaaaniiiiiiiloooooo! Fantastico!
  8. It has been put to me that the following graphic indicates that Rangers will win tonight, and that 10/11 or Evens represent decent prices. Just sayin'...................
  9. I see that Humza was calling for a ceasefire in Madrid....
  10. The Hertz players must really love that Hampden turf, the way they frequently prostrate themselves upon it. Maybe it's a religious thing.
  11. Right angles are Masonic. Thus proscribed.
  12. If that's a pen, I'll eat a bishop's hat
  13. Is £20M rated Scott Wright the answer to our striking prayers?
  14. Nice finish from the £15M rated Scott Wright
  15. So @Rousseau There are 18 'roles', but only 10 outfield players. What is your starting XI?
  16. A difficult, if not intractable, poser. Butland wa s his customary self, solid, and with one classy double save. Balogun drew the eye with an imperious display, as if he had never been away, or out of the side. Lundstram looks like he has come into some form, and was dominant throughout. A fit Ryan Jack beside him may have helped in this regard. Ridvan fizzed and sparkled, going forward, as did Scott Wright. Lammers, at last, looked like he loved the game and the ball, scored an exquisite goal, and contributed an equally exquisite assist. Pereira da Silva looked enthusistic, worked hard, and took his goal well. He needs to spurn less chances, however. Maybe this will come with time. (Let's hope I am not reprising this in six months.) I have to mention Clancy's Tight End (ooh, err, missus!!), with that splendid block on the Dundee runner; a tactical masterstroke by PC, that positional change, I think. So subtle that it was missed by the officials. I'm going Lundstram.
  17. Judging by what you provide on the Juke Box thread, you must have felt right at home.
  18. Extraordinary: Lammers, and Dessers, and Clancy all had good games.
