imho Wallace has justified his fee. Sadly we wasted about 1.5M on Ortiz, Bedoya and McKay.

I cannot understand why Liverpool paid £35M for a £15M striker at best. And Torres, in form IS worth £50M but hasn't shown that form in...years?
-
Why is Warnock sticking his nose into our business anyway? I do agree Jelavic isn't a 10M striker, I don't think he's a 7M striker tbh - but I applaud the club for not just letting him go at the first sniff of cash. It could backfire, he could end up staying (and remaining unhappy) but I guess as long as he keeps scoring it wouldn't be the end of the world. But my priority is to sell at a healthy price - it's best for Rangers if that happens. And my patience.
-
He does not look it tbh.

What's wrong with Kevin Davies?

Addiction is basically the uncontrollable desire to do something repeatedly which doesn't necessarily benefit. In fact, if it's something the person doesn't even enjoy, it's DEFINITELY an addiction. And New Kids are once again just bad music...
-
He's not even worth 7M so I say well done to the club for rejecting and trying to get more money. If we could maybe get 9M I'd take that very, very happily.
-
What a fucking surprise, cunty McLaughlin breaks the story.
-
The difference is gambling's an addiction. AC DC are just bad music

More cash to spent...on your next bet...

So what's the point in winning if you just use the winnings to bet again? What's the point in betting if it's just a cycle of winning and betting? If I bet money, and won something, I'd use the winnings for something other than to give back to the bookies.
-
This is my quibble with gambling - why use your winnings to bet again?

I've got to the stage I'd like Jelavic to just leave now. Even if Ally doesn't get a fucking penny of it, this saga will run and run till he does leave, and I'm sick of such nonsense surrounding certain players.
-
Not every defender has to be 8ft tall and brilliant in the air tbh. I do agree his height is the only criticism I'd make of Boca, but in his defence (no pun intended) the little and large partnership with Goian works perfectly.

I don't think it's about dodging a bullet, the fact is a mid-table EPL team have come in for him - I can think of few players who would choose lower wages and standard of competition in the SPL with us over a vastly improving EPL team who have a LOT of money. Once upon a time I hated any player who talked about coming here then buggered off to some other club - how dare they mess us, the Rangers, about. But in the state we currently are in, I can't blame any player for wanting a better option elsewhere.

Zlatan Muslimovic has cut short his trial spell with Rangers, training instead on Tuesday with English Premier League side Sunderland. The Bosnian striker arrived at Murray Park on Monday and was expected to spend the week with Ally McCoist’s squad. Muslimovic, who is without a club following his summer departure from PAOK Salonika, remains open to an offer from the SPL side. But his agent, Jan Bezemer, has confirmed his client will spend the remainder of the week in England. Zlatan Muslimovic cuts short Rangers trial “Zlatan trained at Rangers yesterday,” he confirmed. “Everything was nice and we were interested. “But now another offer has come in to train at another club. Zlatan trained at Sunderland today and we will now see how that works out. “Zlatan had a very good feeling about Rangers. They are a very nice club, the trainer was a good man and he spoke very well. “Rangers want him but we have lots of interest in the player. He would like to play in a good league. The leagues in Scotland and England fall into that category.” The striker, who has 33 international caps, was one of a number of trialists under consideration by McCoist. Dutch midfielder Luigi Bruins also arrived on Monday, joining Honduran midfielder Jorge Claros and Estonian right back Enar Jaager. Muslimovic, who has Swedish citizenship, played youth football in Sweden before being picked up by Udinese. The forward spent seven years under contract with the Serie A club but failed to win a first team place. Udinese sent the player out to seven clubs and after short-term spells at Perugia, Pistoiese, Ascoli, Padova, Rimini, Messini and Parma, he left the club permanently to join Atalanta. A single season in Bergamo failed to bring success and Muslimovic moved to PAOK in 2008.

Defeat in this tax case threatens the club's livelihood. It's not attractive to potential new signings. Europe has, and always will be, a massive carrot for players moving to a new club. If as much as anything else, they love the massively increased win bonuses you get at that level. You have a point regarding form - players have ego and as much as they might feel it would make them more likely to play in the first 11, they might also believe they're the player to turn the form around. Although can anyone tell me the last time we were in poor form and one player fixed that?
-
If I was any half decent player I wouldn't come to Rangers. We're financially appalling, have no money, the press about us is mostly negative, the tax case is ongoing, we're floundering in the league, we don't have Europe, and we're abysmally out of form. I don't expect any good players in this window. We have no chance if competing against any EPL side. /positivity.

As I've posted elsewhere, he really didn't do very well for Rapid Wien - 25 in 70 in a very weak league. And only has 2 in 17 for Croatia. He was great for us last season, and his goal in Malmo was stunning, but I think we (myself included) may have bought into a myth that he's better than he actually is. Or is has he just improved since leaving Austria? Who knows. Maybe I'm doing him a disservice.

The BBC, agenda or not, are a pretty poor shadow of what they once were. And I'm fucking sick of Chris McLaughlin.
-
I'd take 7.2M for Jelavic and move on. Having looked at his career overall, it's probably more than he's worth and I'm not sure he'll be anything special in England.
-
Thinking back now, you're right. For some reason I thought it was Malmo, dunno why. I'll edit the correction.
-
Having seen this incident, I have to say he doesn't look like he's deliberately trying to main Parker. He's not even looking where his foot is going, if anything he's trying to avoid falling over. Pepe's was a bit more obvious, he was clearly looking down when he did it.
-
It's a matter of debate regarding who actually rejected the bid; the player himself, or big boss Berlu. But while the Duck is a bit of an idiot, I'll give him some credit that about to become a dad he doesn't want to abandon his woman and sprog. Probably.

1972. Greatest Ever 'Gers team in living memory...

Steven is one of the most under rated players in Rangers' history.
