  1. Lots of rumours doing the rounds yesterday about Josh Mulligan having a medical last night
  2. Maybe, but fairly sure £40m would soften the blow in the board's eyes
  3. Al Ahly 1–2 Inter Miami Bayern Munich 4–0 Auckland City JOKER PSG 2–1 Atletico Madrid Palmeiras 1–1 Porto Botafogo 2–1 Seattle Sounders Chelsea 2–2 Los Angeles FC Boca Juniors 1–2 Benfica Flamengo 2–0 Esperance de Tunis Fluminense 1–3 Borussia Dortmund River Plate 2–0 Urawa Red Diamonds Ulsan HD 1–1 Mamelodi Sundowns Monterrey 1–2 Inter Milan Man City 5–1 Wydad AC Real Madrid 3–0 Al Hilal CF Pachuca 2–2 FC Salzburg Al Ain 0–3 Juventus
  4. IF thats true, its pretty bleak that it seems like no deals are currently near... Again, its a big IF but the window isn't even open yet so I'm not panicking I can definitely believe the below though as I think a lot of the Koppen stuff has been ripped up with the changes and they all seem like Koppen deals The Turgeman stuff also doesn't not surprise me as it would be silly to have 4 strikers on the books and it would be sensible to sell 1 before signing Turgerman
  5. Have we got any youth players left to send out?
  6. The way I see it, there are essentially two choices now, either keep moaning about it and set the guy up to fail before he’s even in the door, or accept the decision and at least give it a chance to work. To confirm, I'm not one of the ones who was sold on Russell Martin. There are already plenty of people outside the club who’ll be desperate for us to fail, we don’t need to add to that from within. If the negativity keeps piling up from our own fans, then yeah, chances are he will fail eventually. Whether we like it or not, Martin’s the manager now. He’s here for at least the next few months, like any new appointment. His best shot at making it work is with a bit of backing from the support and to be fair, there are some positives there if folk are willing to look for them, just search for @Rousseau's posts Anyway, now we can get back to the fun bit of complaining about being linked with unheard of players in The Rangers Summer 2025 Transfer Rumours and Deals - Thread
  7. At this point, I genuinely believe Russell Martin might be the only remaining candidate who’s 100% committed to taking the job. The other names linked all seem to have other options on the table, or are waiting on how other situations play out. I don’t think Martin is/was the board’s first choice and that’s probably why this whole process has dragged on longer than expected.
  8. Just my opinion, but I think Inzaghi leaving Inter is what’s shifted things a bit. With him gone, Fabregas is lined up to take over there, which in turn puts Ancelotti as the likely candidate for the Como job. That could explain why Russell Martin is suddenly the odds-on favourite for us. He might just be the only one who’s fully committed to taking the role right now. From what fan media’s been saying, there was supposed to be another meeting with Ancelotti, today I think, so all the talk about Russell Martin getting the job is a bit premature. It wouldn’t surprise me if some of these rumours were pushed by Martin’s camp to put pressure on the club. Also worth noting that apparently Ancelotti hasn’t been told he’s out of the running. So as of last night, no final decision had been made. That said, this could all be complete rubbish by now 😂
  9. It went quiet very quickly on Farioli so my thoughts are either... The rumours were because we reached out and guaged his interest and he said no, or, he reached out to guage our interest and we told him we were already too far down the line with the current shortlist
  10. According to fan media like H&H, no final decision has been made yet, although they have admitted R Martin is the current leader
  11. @Rousseau will finally be able to take down the Josh Windass poster and replace it with one of Russell Martin holding a Rangers scarf
  12. The WhatsApp rumours are starting up again saying Russell Martin and that in tandem with rumours surfacing about Ancelotti to Basel.....
  13. I’ve got a mate who supports Southampton and messaged me the other night saying pretty much the same thing, that Russell Martin was never a particularly popular manager, even before they got promoted. He confirmed the whole "if plan A doesn’t work, do plan A better" mentality and also said Martin had a habit of blaming everyone except himself when things went sideways Couple of direct quotes from him: “He is so horribly smug.” “Even in the Championship we got hammered by anyone decent. Got promoted with something like the 7th worst defence in the league.” “He’s never improved a team or finished above expectations.” Unforunately, he made no comment on this.....
  14. I don't think the media has any idea whatsoever of whats going on
