Having been subjected to verbal abuse and physical assault because I support Rangers, I can categorically state that the former is not remotely troubling in comparison to the latter. In fact, I quite enjoy getting verbal abuse.

That interview is reasonable and he comes across as a rational and decent bloke, who has made his comments in the cold light of day - unlike Clark, who resembles a kid throwing his toys out of the pram after a heavy defeat. I wonder if Tom English, Graeme Spiers or Bill Leckie will have much to say about it.

Might I suggest that mocking people, who are taking issue with a public official who clearly has an agenda against Rangers (and all that comes with it/us) chairing a committee on sectarianism, is bigoted. Next we'll have St Pats doing primary school lessons on child abuse and Mike Ashley chairing an income and ethics group, with Rupert Maxwell as an honorary mascot.

I think you're confusing this with UBs marches and other things of that nature. It will be focused on us getting fair coverage from the BBC and there'll be no balaclavas or bigotry (although, obviously, I doubt anyone can 100% guarantee that).

One of my earliest football memories is hearing the ball hitting the back of the net when he hit that free kick at Hampden. I'm not sure if I did actually hear it but it's a great memory regardless. On his day, he was a top class player and he was one of us.
