  1. Sounds like your mates are a bunch of rascals.
  2. Sad news. Well before my time but it's a name I have heard and read enough to know he is regarded as one of the best.
  3. That can't happen with safe standing.
  4. I'm paraphrasing but just prior to kick off the commentator said something like "This is an intense rivalry felt deeply by both clubs.". What a lot of rot. Aberdeen are just another diddy club.
  5. A very reasonable post. I have no issues with anything you say, other than that particular word has minimal religious links, as far as I'm concerned (it refers to an ideology, which I find objectionable - a united Ireland). But I take your points on board. For the record, I have never referred to Clark as one. And I was accused, in court, of calling someone one when I did no such thing. So it's an issue I take a keen interest in.
  6. That was a very obvious penalty. If you trip someone up who is running onto the ball, it's a definite penalty. Whether you know they're there or not is neither here nor there. The referee was poor today but he got the penalty spot on. The problem is managers like McInnes know how to set up against us because we're too predictable and lack a creative cutting edge.
  7. Worrall took his goal well. It's one of those ones you imagine a central defender hitting into Row Z.
  8. I think you're missing the point or some other obtuse response of that nature. Born Under A Union Jack was particularly heart-warming today.
  9. If it had "nowt to do with politics" we wouldn't even be discussing it.
  10. His crossing is terrific. He needs to show more bottle though.
  11. It's a shame we don't sing "F*ck the SNP" more often. ??
  12. Fair result. We looked a different team at the start of the second half but Aberdeen are good at stopping us playing.
  13. Is it just me or are the people who get most upset by nasty songs the same people who don't go to the football very often. Phil McMadeUpName is a good example. Great rendition of TBB today.
  14. Disappointing. Not one of our players is having a good game. Jack is having a nightmare and Morelos needs to stay on his feet. Huge improvement required if we're going to lift a trophy this season.
  15. I'm sure all the SNP councillors in Glasgow will treat Rangers and Celtic evenly when/if they're handed these licensing powers. ?
  16. I don't go to away games. Do you?
  17. It's subjective, isn't it. I keep hearing we're a 'broad church', so I'd assume there's a variety of opinions on what is and isn't acceptable. There is no definitive list - there never has been. Bears submitting to the yahoo (incorrect) definition of the F word disappoints me, I must say. The board have already decided to give the inch. I doubt the support at Pittodrie today will be so willing.
  18. Can you provide a link to the list of songs we're not allowed to sing? As I said last night, give them an inch...
  19. Theobald Wolfe Tone was a Protestant.
  20. Wishful thinking. Those will be next on their list. The songs will get sung today. Try not to get too upset - I realise how ruinous a nasty word can be for the thin skinned. The vast majority of Scots won't even notice but the usual suspects will be all over it.
  21. I'm not the one telling Rangers fans what they can and can't sing. I have no wish to ever do so. One could argue that those bending to the will of the shrill press and politicians are bigger mugs than me. Football is already far too sanitised in the UK, in my opinion.
  22. These sorts of songs are juvenile, I agree. Ditch them and they'll say Derry's Walls is sectarian and Rule Britannia is 'Far Right'. Give them an inch and all that. Who gets decide which Rangers fans have a say on what is and isn't offensive? Good luck getting future generations along to watch us play Hamilton and Livingston on plastic pitches when we become just a football club, like some would like to see.
  23. I'll do that if you remonstrate with fans singing songs you disapprove of at matches. Deal?
  24. I'd just like all the overly sensitive old grannies to go back and do what they did before and leave the glorious tribalism of football rivalry alone. Even if Rangers fans ditch the more questionable songs, the Nats, the BBC and all that lot will only find something else about us to get offended about. Testicular fortitude is required - subservient lickspittles less so. No Surrender.
