  1. Going on what I have seen, a versatile player who will be a decent squad player. Much rather give Wylde a game for his youth, pace and corners, let's see if he can improve with the experience. Having said that, if Allys like most Managers after spending money on a player, he might just play every game.
  2. STV understands Romanian defender Dorin Goian will undergo a medical with Rangers on Monday, subject to personal terms being agreed. Ally McCoist's side have agreed a fee with Italian side Palermo over the transfer of the 30-year-old, with work now ongoing to complete his signing ahead of Monday evening's additional Champions League registration deadline. Gers boss Ally McCoist previously stated his intent to bring in one new face ahead of this week's Champions League third qualifying round first leg with Malmo FF. Although the club's squad has already been submitted for the two matches, Rangers can register one additional player by 7.45pm on Monday night. Goian moved to Italy in 2009 from Steaua Bucharest, having spent four years with the 23-times Romanian champions. Prior to his time with Steaua, the 30-year-old's career was also spent in his homeland with FCM Bacau, Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt and Foresta Falticeni. Palermo paid £2 million euro to sign Goian but he played second fiddle for most of the 2009/10 season, before injury restricted his appearances last term. At international level, he has 37 caps for Romania, scoring against Belarus, Germany, Holland, France and Georgia. Goian, who stands at 6ft 5in tall, also has a limited experience of Scottish football, having seen his penalty saved by then-Motherwell goalkeeper John Ruddy during the away leg of the Steelmen's eventual 6-1 aggregate defeat to Steaua in the 2009 Europa League third qualifying round. The player would require a work permit to move to Glasgow, which would be followed by an application for an accession worker card, which is required for Romanian nationals coming to live and work in the UK.
  3. Goian having a medical tomorrow.
  4. You are as well copying Rugby, and kicking the ball out as far up the park as possible. At least it would give you a few extra seconds to get up the park. It's embarassing because it looks amateurish.
  5. Please please Ally, stop bringing everybody back at corners, it's embarassing when the ball is booted out.
  6. AM press conference delayed until the BBC mics were taken out. So they are saying on various sources.
  7. Have the BBC been banned ?
  8. As I said after the Blackpool game, Edu and Lee will not do in the centre of the park. Good teams have a bit of guile in there. Unfortunately we are looking at other positions.
  9. Good luck to Ally and the Team. Just do it.
  10. Start of a new football season, and that is what the sports headline is, in one of the most popular newspapers. No wonder Scottish Football is in such a state, not to mention the newspaper business.
  11. What kind of player is Goian, does six foot five say everything?
  12. Yeah we played well enough, and the youngsters did well. But we should remember it was their first game, and that their best players have left.
  13. It would be good to have them pointed out and be in the dock. But I am more worried about our travelling support, some think partying and a couple of days drinking, are more important than supporting the team.
  14. Noticed your exchange with Mark Benstead last night re. the singing. Also in the Herald this morning....... "The singing was constant although some of it, if repeated in their European tie next midweek, will have Uefa on Rangers’ case again". Still worrying that there are some who don't care about the consequences.
  15. Still feel we are lacking something in the middle of the park, Jig and Edu together don't impress me at all. We badly need numbers at the back, we are lucky to have versatility in Whit and Broadfoot. Happy enough last night, but still think we will have to improve for Hearts and Malmo.
  16. A large pinch of salt is needed with the guy, IMHO.
  17. I'd start to worry if we don't win well tonight. Next game the SPL opener, which we have to win. Also Blackpool have lost their best players.
  18. Aston Villa: Latest on Carlos Cuellar deal Carlos Cuellarâs representatives are currently discussing the Spanish defenderâs personal terms with Rangers after Aston Villa accepted a £2 million bid from the Ibrox giants. Contrary to reports, Villa have received no interest from La Liga club Espanyol for Cuellar, who is 29 years old and has just 12 months left on his contract.
  19. Seeing Ian has posted the article, I will clean up the Forum.
  20. Will Cardiff offer more in wages? Will KM sign for the money or medals? Will KM get homesick in Wales? Cardiff are the new shellic, stalking us.
  21. Davie Weir in an interview on Talksport this morning, says Ally has got him doing some coaching. With his family still living on Merseyside, was the coaching involvement a reason for him to sign on for another year. Would think he will go to Everton next season.
  22. I see he played in t'other game.
  23. Did Hemmings not play ?
  24. Conduct?? You will have to explain that one.
