Next Rangers manager is not Ally McCoist?

Heres an interesting bit of VT i found whilst browsing Sky Sports news and the Rangers section.

 

I advise you to watch the whole 7 minutes as i found it very interesting to see how an ex legend is doing abroad with managing a foriegn side. If you don't want to watch the whole 7minutes and want to reference the most interesting comment, fast forward to 5 minutes and listen out for the comment on the Rangers management job.

Interesting interview, but there's no way he'll be the next manager. Needs a bit more experience back in the UK. Looks like a good life though.

I wish more people connected with Rangers would openly show their feelings towards our Club. I found Ferguson's whole demeanour quite inspirational.

I was thinking about this the other night. It's difficult to draw up a list of the qualities the preferred candidate would have.

 

- a Rangers man

- will deliver (qualified) success in Europe

- must win league every year

- have a record in developing youth

- have to work well with a limited budget

- must deal with madly high expectations of supporters

- must be successfull in 2 years at most or face the boot

 

 

Anyone fit the bil?

Ian Ferguson was perhaps the last of a dying breed. We are FC Pariah in Scotland these days, but Ian Ferguson had Rangers running through his veins and wasn't afraid to let people know. If the Rangers support were more like Ian Ferguson we wouldn't have capitulated so heavily to the Celtic-minded elite in this country. Come home whenever you like Fergie.

I agree with those qualities, and it is an awful lot to handle for any manager.

 

I do like the thought of Fergie being next Gers boss, but maybe after he has taken a job in the u.k and proved he can do it here and not in a farmtown in the other side of the world.

 

I also think it is an interesting and viable alternative to the usual candidates of Ally McCoist and Ian Durrant.

 

I will be watching with interest from now on what success Fergie has out in Oz.

Surely you've lost your senses, a Rangers man in charge of Rangers? David "celtc supporters are more loyal" Murray would never wear it, unless he also happened to a a committed yes man.

He has more managerial experience than McCoist. A bonus on the side would be he wouldn't pal up to the Sellick-minded like McCoist likes to.
