He is in deep trouble for punching an opposing player in the stumoch. Very much out of character i must say but the player could not continue. The police are seemingly getting involved as well.

Swedish legend Henrik Larsson could face a lengthy suspension following an incident at the weekend.

Larsson, now playing for Helsingborg in his homeland, clashed with Elfsborg defender Jon Jonsson during a cup tie on Saturday.

The 34-year-old has been reported to the Swedish FA following the clash.

However, Helsingborg chairman Sten-Inge Fredin is hopeful his star man can avoid a major punishment.

"I have talked to him and he is regretting what happened," Fredin told Sportbladet.

"These kind of incidents often happen in matches, unfortunately.

"There is optimism in the side and I don't believe they will be affected negatively by this incident.

"It is not certain that he will be suspended.
