Fleck refusing contract a misunderstanding apparently...

YES it's all Walter's fault , that's why he has no contract and none of his management team have a contract , it's his fault that 6 players are out of contract at the end of the season with very little movement by the board ( cause they aren't allowed ) , it's walter's fault we haven't bought a player in 3 transfer windows , yes nothing to see here move along back to puttin your heads in the sand and gloating over our demise like good wee lackies . PATHETIC

if hed put up a better fight against kunaus he probably wouldnt be in the position he finds himself now. so yes id say its his fault.

I happen to agree that this was a watershed result , also that there is no way Smith intentionally wanted us out of Europe , however this result put a shot across Murray and low and behold 3 players arrived albeit too late for Europe but not for the league , you cant have it both ways

the combined loss of 10 mill in cl and the 18 mill speding spree is the debt that is currently dragging us down. smith to blame for his crap management and murray for chucking bundles of bank notes at him to appease the fans.

.

In actual fact gisa, most of those transfer market dealings in the summer of 2008 were supposed to take place before we went out of Europe. For various reasons (including our CEO's haggling tactics) big money signings didn't happen until after we were out, but most of the money spent had nothing at all to do with appeasing the fans.

We still would have had another qualifier to get into the CL against Aalborg who were a handy team who beat Celtic, draw and lost to both Man U and Villa Real (not bad really), thrashed Deportivo de Coruna and then when out to the richest club in the world (MC) on penalties.

With our slow start to the season that would have been a tough tie.

i wasnt aware of any new signings at that time zappa. the davis deal was certainly hurried through after the cl departure from what i remember.

.

Bain was mainly the one at fault for the whole Davis debacle because he was trying to get Davis for less than what was being asked for while other clubs were interested in paying the asking price.

All I was saying was that the majority of that summers spending had been planned to happen before the CL departure. IIRC, the only unplanned (AFAIR) big money signings made after it were Mendes & Edu, so it's far less than half of the £18m you were making out was spent to 'appease' the fans. In fact, were we not in negotiations over Edu before the Kaunas games?
