Transfer Deadline Day

Is Redknapp trying to taking the piss btw? Trying to loan one of our key players. Good one.

Seems to be a tactic of the English clubs coming upto Scotland atm.

Loaning players is usually reserved for players out of the picture at their parent club, guys needing match time who aren't getting it or for getting youths experience. You are not going to poach a key player on loan. Muppet.

That normally is the case... but you do get the exception... What's the deal with that striker hamilton have on loan from dundee? Is that a financial thing?

No idea where the "values" for players come from, but would hope for slightly more for one of key players. A loan would have been ridiculous!

I agree, it's a bit of an insult to say the least...

Were teams not trying to loan McArthur too? Now whilst I don't think he'd walk into any team in world football, he is clearly one of Hamilton's best players. Why would a team let one of their best players go out on loan to a bigger team for a half a season? By the time they come back, their contract has run down a bit and they are potentially worth less (unless they play unbelievably well). What does the "wee team" have to gain from this. More arrogance from the EPL?

Redknapp said that he didn't sign David James because Gomes is his number one and he was only looking for backup, so he basically tried to loan our number one so he could sit on the Spurs bench for the rest of the season? GTF you corrupt, twitching, ginger bawbag!

Reports suggest that Gomes has injured his shoulder and it is worse than first feared - so, for a time at least, AM would have been playing.

In McGregor's instance was it not a 500k loan fee with a view to a further 3.5 million to make it permanent ? In that instance there is every likelihood that it becomes permanent. If not, we would have got 500k for a 6 month loan, not too bad.

Glad he didnt go though.

I believe McGregor is worth more than £4m in total. Its just the usual EPL transfer/Redknapp transfer trying to bully teams with little money.
