Gers plan swoop for former Don...

Recommended Posts

Some more on this today.

Middlesbrough striker Lee Miller admits he would face a tough decision if he is offered the chance to join Rangers.

Miller has struggled to make an impact at Middlesbrough since joining from Aberdeen in the January transfer window and has failed to score in 10 Championship appearances.

The Scotland international has been linked with a move to Rangers over the summer as a replacement for Kris Boyd, who is leaving Ibrox on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old admits he is flattered to be mooted as a target for Gers and concedes it would be a difficult choice to make should Walter Smith make a bid.

"If Rangers ask the question, I would be forced to make the toughest decision of my career," Miller told the Daily Record.

"It is flattering to be linked with a club as big as Rangers. It is also nice to know clubs are taking a keen interest in what I am doing.

"I have been linked with Rangers for most of my career, but have never kicked a ball for them."

Because he is much more talented than Steven Naismith and Kyle Lafferty, two players who will almost certainly start every game next season

Perhaps.

Although, Naismith can 'sometimes' do something for us, but his good games are few and far between.

And Kyle Lafferty was starting to come on to a game at the end of the season. Depends how much we'd get him for I suppose.

I rate Lafferty and feel he'll do well next season if played in his correct position. However, i have a scary belief that Walter will play Miller and Velicka up front and keep Lafferty wide left, hence why i'd like to sign Riordan

Naismith is pish and the most boring attacking player in the world. If he remains first pick next season and Fleck spends another season sitting on the bench, expect the young man to move on

Somehow, it's quite depressing to see Rangers supporters describing Rangers players as "pish".

What would you prefer? "I feel young Steven lacks sufficient talent" ?

I don't paricularly agree but, yes, that pretty much makes your point without being abusive towards the people who wear the colours.

Unless of course you want to discuss Kenny Miller ... just joking.:)

I don't see 'pish' as particularly abusive but yes i agree. Pish is probably as far as i'd go. Seen plenty of stuff on FF down the years that made my blood boil (the infamous 'senile old bastard' jibe someone made about Walter would probably be top of that particular list)

Naismith is a better all round player than the likes of Riordan IMO. Riordan is much more incosistent than Naismith and doesn't seem to be well liked as a person. I would hate to have the likes of him at our club.
