The other day there were posts saying if we signed Jelavic or Welcome, we should sell Lafferty. Do these people not realise the size of our squad? If 2 strikers of better quality were to be brought in I could understand it, but better the devil you know. For the national team he was excellent under him, and he's been an excellent signing for us under Smith, despite all our misgivings. It's a blend that works. If he left he'd probably deteriorate into mediocrity again - and he's one of our most important players.
