history's what historians like to think happened :)

If, historians or scribes choose to misrepresent historical fact that is their preogative, it does not alter the truth of history, it merely lies about it.

There is only truth, much like 53 titles and tradition, all else is falsehood.

As with everything to do with religion it has nothing to do with religion....and everything to do with politics, as it has always been. Even in the 1660's/90's.

Wabash, I don't think I've ever agreed with anything you've said so much. I'm not sure what's caused you to say it, but it's 100% correct.

RM is pish nowadays anyway.

So we starting the debate again lads?

Don't know if there is really a debate on this subject, more likely you are either a traditionalist or not....which ever you are it doesn't make you any better or any worse a supporter than anyone else, it is a broad church with free choice. :)
