Breaking News: Rangers to be sold before Xmas

Recommended Posts

FWIW, I am sure Bluedell has more than the expertise required to make a valued judgement on the circumstances of Mr Whyte, the link gives enough to do the required tracing, not very good reading. http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/tixway-uk

There seems to be a list of companies that guy is involved with there...

There seems to be some confusion about Liberty's and Ellis's.

I don't have much information but if you go onto Liberty Capital's website, it states

If you go onto the "contact us" section of the website and details:

Head Office:

Liberty Capital Ltd.

Aldermary House, 10-15 Queen Street

London EC4N 1TX, United Kingdom

However, what is strange is that there is no such (British) company called "Liberty Capital Ltd".

All getting a bit bizarre again... :(

Just published on the Stock Exchange at 11:48.....

DJ Craig Whyte Statement re Possible Offer

This is an announcement falling under Rule 2.4 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers (the "Code") and does not constitute an announcement of a firm intention to make an offer. Accordingly, there can be no certainty that a formal offer for Rangers Football Club Plc will be made.

Statement re Possible Offer for Rangers Football Club Plc Craig Whyte notes the articles in today's press regarding discussions between him and Murray International Holdings Limited ("MIH") with a view to him acquiring MIH's majority shareholding in Rangers Football Club Plc ("RFC").

Mr Whyte confirms that he is considering making an offer for RFC and is in talks with MIH but that these are at an early stage and there can be no certainty that an offer will ultimately be made. Mr Whyte has not yet approached the board of RFC. A further statement will be made in due course.

Tixway seems to be a company that has virtually nothing going through it, but that, in itself proves little as it's easy enough to set up shell companies with a view to using them in the future. Its accounts are overdue, which isn't reassuring and most of the other connected compaines listed on that site are new, with no trading record.

I'm sure there's a lot more information out there but it's not clear at the moment and I'm guessing that most of Craig Whyte's businesses are off-shore and not available to public scrutiny.

sportinglife take on it

Scottish tycoon Craig Whyte has confirmed he is considering making an offer to buy Rangers.

The 39-year-old businessman is in talks with Murray International Holdings regarding a proposed takeover.

Whyte says talks are at an early stage and a formal offer for the Scottish champions has yet to be made.

A statement released to the Stock Exchange on Thursday read: "Craig Whyte notes the articles in today's press regarding discussions between him and Murray International Holdings Limited with a view to him acquiring MIH's majority shareholding in Rangers Football Club Plc.

"Mr Whyte confirms that he is considering making an offer for RFC and is in talks with MIH but that these are at an early stage and there can be no certainty that an offer will ultimately be made.

"Mr Whyte has not yet approached the board of RFC.

I am off to a darkened room till after xmas , see you all later and have a great xmas and new year ......

Its going to be a constant re-hashing of the very little info that's out there (already started) and snippets from various un-named sources, insiders etc, so that's not a bad idea at all rbr.
