Times Journo - Rangers Union Flag "Stupidity"

Recommended Posts

They should pay more attention to their manager, the wise Walter Smith, who talked last week of how the sectarian problem had been tolerated for too long, and his relief that he was retiring. ââ?¬Å?To be quite honest with you, Iââ?¬â?¢m quite glad to be getting out of it,ââ?¬Â Smith said, which was a terribly sad admission from a man steeped in Rangers since he was a lad. So that is one manager driven away and another who might have been killed. And a stupid club who think there is nothing odd, amid all this trouble, in handing out 40,000 Union Jacks.

Where the fuck did Walter say he's being forced out by Bigitory? We've known for a year he's leaving Rangers you utter cunt of a man. His time has come to leave the club he loves!!!!!!!!!!!

AAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I don't normally read or take much notice of the press but this has got right up my nose. The annoying thing is people down south will buy into this

Another fine example of the Timothy Tabloids using their power of exposure to drag out club through the mud. An absolute disgrace that this has been written by a 'Chief Sports Corredspondent' nevermind passed for publication by one. Does noone remember the banners and the burning of poppies at Septic Park on Armistace day?? Or the fella that came to Ibrox goading the 66 that died at the Ibrox disaster?? Funny How memory is so short. Does anyone think that the fact John Reid (ex Labour frontbencher in Parliament) is the chairman at Shame FC has anything to do with the political onslaught against Rangers??

On Saturday Spiers had an article about Lennon in the Sports section, Magnus Linklater had an article in the Main section on 'The Old Firm', you can guess which set of Supporters came off worse. This was not the Scottish Edition, but the National Paper, now this article, by someone who has no interest in Scottish Football.

It seems strange why this from the National Edition when there is a Scottish Edition.
