F*ck the SNP

Recommended Posts

To be honest, I initially sympathised with the police to a degree last night.

The whole situation appeared to be catalysed by the fat steward who was intent in pulling at least one fan out for behaviour as yet unknown. Certainly no offensive songs were song (unless you deem Fuck the SNP as unacceptable). Clearly, because of the number of fans in our section; the police had to make their presence felt to assist the steward.

At that point many of the fans got upset because there appeared to no reason for the lad to be ejected. I honestly feel at this point, the police should have retreated and allowed the situation to settle down but once again this steward insisted upon entering the middle of the lower section to grab another fan. By this point the atmosphere was getting quite hostile and the police were clearly losing control of a nothing incident.

Best thing to happen was the lower few rows walking out in protest. This allowed them to make their point and helped settle the situation down. Not enough for the same steward who kept moaning loudly and longly at the back of the section to a colleague.

I intend writing to the club to object to this questionable stewarding. Clearly, I don't know the full story but as a 'reasonable person', I found the stewarding heavy-handed and inappropriate. I also found the subsequent policing unnecessarily intimidating and poorly organised.

I still can't believe our county voted for the SNP and for Hitler Salmond!

Were the police trying to get their stats up last night :(

Why don't they spend more time trying to catch real criminals rather than a few who sing songs, or did our fans even do that last night and do the police know when they lift fans if they are actually right in doing so? They are and will cause more trouble by doing so.

They are trying to turn our country into a boring silence one where saying/singing anything will be offensive going by what Salmond and the police force want. Both are a joke.

So a steward gets a bit of abuse and the police pile in same old story, am sure the papers will have a fine time twisting that story around. It's only going to get worse guy behind me was told by his pal to watch what he was saying because the steward was pointing him out to another jackboot in yellow, the guy only swore a couple of times. I give you Salmonds new Scotland. F#*k the SNP doesn't even start with this shower

Rangers fans in protest at SNP’s law blitz

FURIOUS Rangers fans last night staged a protest against First Minister Alex Salmond over the SNP government's crackdown on football-related crime.

A string of banners attacking the SNP were unfurled at Ibrox ahead of the SPL tie against Kilmarnock.

The largest read: "SNP — Weak On Criminals Tough On Fans."

Another read: "Football Fans – Not Criminals", while a third attacked "Undefinable Laws".

The demo came after a similar stunt by Celtic fans on Saturday.

The Green Brigade supporters stayed silent during the first 50 minutes of the game against Inverness, before noisily unfurling banners which said: "Our songs are not illegal".

RANGERS fans protested against the Scottish Government's proposed anti-sectarian legislation last night, when they raised banners and sang songs attacking the SNP administration at Ibrox.

During a league match against Kilmarnock, members of the Blue Order unfurled three large banners that read "SNP Weak On Criminals, Tough On Fans", "Undefinable (sic] Law Against Supporters" and "Football Fans Not Criminals", while chanting abusive songs about the party and First Minister Alex Salmond.

The order, set up in 2002, specialises in leading the singing of Rangers songs "to help make Ibrox more intimidating for away teams".

Though apparently attacking the administration's plans to clamp down on sectarian singing during matches, the protest is understood to have been prompted by the arrest of three men during a match in Dunfermline on Saturday.

Spectators at last night's match said that the protest lasted for two-thirds of the game, then police acted to end the protest.

One observer said: "About 15 minutes into the second half, the police moved in, just as Rangers scored their first goal. I don't know if they kicked them out or moved them to another part of the stadium. Quite a few were taken out. There were about three rows of empty seats left."

Strathclyde Police could not confirm whether or not there had been any arrests.

The protest comes at a time of tension between Old Firm fans and the Scottish Government over its plans to tackle sectarian behaviour at football matches.

The Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Bill has been criticised for being too "vague" and ill-defined over what constitutes sectarian behaviour. A Scottish Government spokeswoman said: "Law-abiding football fans - who are the overwhelming majority - have absolutely nothing to worry about from the proposed legislation, but sectarianism and other offensive behaviour will not be tolerated in modern Scotland."

There were anti-Salmond songs. Not as loud or as widespread but there were plenty people chanting against him.

And more power to them it's time to shine the spotlight on the real culprits in this mess and that fat pish stain is top of the tree the mhanky mob don't know any better ( blame the schools ) but the people in power are there to serve the whole of society not just the ones who agree with their views ( independence anyone ) imo what they are doing is bordering on criminal and someone has to stand up to them so more power to you The Blue Order and the UB belt it out the whole of the ground should have joined you.
