Is This the Hokey Cokey or a Rangers FC Takeover Process?

Recommended Posts

I'm not solely blaming the administrators and I've deliberately left a lot of things out of this wee rant because there's more than two sides to this situation with Whyte & Ticketus being key players as well, but the administrators and certain bidders have delayed the process and ultimately it's the administrators (highly paid) job to sort out this mess.

It's to be expected when it was the administrators drew up the business plan that got us here.

Seriously has anyone ever seen an administration remotely like this one is panning out?

The farcical nature of what is happening is basically in line with how we've been run for the past 20 years. It's got really, really bad in the last 5, and I am beginning to wonder if Rangers as we know them will survive at all.

It would appear as though Ticketus are pitting TBK's and Ng against one another in a separate bidding war to get them on side.

Best solution to that (and the whole situation in general imo) would be for TBK's and Ng (and Kennedy) to join forces, give Ticketus their final offer which they can like or be lumped in the CVA pot. At the same time obtain certain conditions in the deal (re: compensation for Ticketus losses) required to ensure Whyte will hand over his shareholding. Get the papers signed pending due diligence and tell D&P to go and f**k themselves concerning preferred bidders and exclusivity.

Then we'd just have the CVA (and small issue of the BTC) to deal with.

They won't be winning any official business awards for it, that's for sure.

Beginning to wonder how many actually care. I cannot believe how passive the Rangers support has become.

It's unbelievable cb. There's a lot of people who need to waken up and pronto. The club is in deep shit here.

D&P Statement tonight:

Duff & Phelps, the administrators of Rangers Football Club, issued the following statement tonight.

David Whitehouse, joint administrator, said: "We have had a series of constructive discussions with bidders. We have made it crystal clear to them all that to announce a preferred bidder we need definitive, unconditional bids on the table.

"It is also important to let fans know that at this stage there is a world of difference between people indicating their intentions - even though they are well meaning - and putting them in black and white.

"We understand there are complex issues for bidders to deal with and we do not doubt that all parties want to attain control of the football club. We understand also that those interested in buying the Club are working hard to resolve all outstanding issues.

"We are continuing to make representations to all stakeholder groups - including the football authorities - to give clarity on outstanding issues which will help existing bids move to unconditional status."

What like saying Whytes' shareholding is irrelevant then despite assurances that you could deliver it when push comes to shove you haven't got a f*&king clue how to separate Whyte from his shareholding?

We've asked Whyte politely to sign over his shareholding but for some strange reason he isn't obliging :(
