United, we can be so powerful. This is the first thing that's lifted my gloom all day.

VGB Statement 24 April 2012 PDF Print E-mail

VGB admin would like to applaud the statement made today by Mark Dingwall which quite rightly pointed out the bias within the SFA. We would also like to applaud the work done by him and many others behind the scenes in ensuring that Rangers Football Club continues to operate as a football club.

There is no point pretending any more that things will simply work out and that we will continue as normal.

The situation is now so dire that Rangers FC are in very real danger of ceasing to exist full stop. Therefore we at VGB are making it crystal clear we will support any and all efforts by Mark Dingwall, The Rangers Supporters Trust, The Assembly and indeed ANY group who are fighting to save Rangers FC.

All differences of opinion and strategy are being left behind where they belong.

The only issue that matters is the safety of Rangers FC and we stand ready to do whatever is necessary to ensure we all have a football team to support for years to come.

Well done to the VB's. In any crisis you have to hit rock bottom before you can start re-building properly. With no clarity on future ownership as yet, and with the FTT outcome not yet known, I suspect we have not yet reached the bottom. But with the fans truly united I feel more confident than ever that we will get through this dark dark period.

But also a very welcome one.

Perhaps for other supporters. Their head admin made it quite clear to me what he thought of me.

Hopefully yesterday proves to be a TRUE watershed moment for our support.

I feel there's a reason they put that statement out. I don't believe they meant it. Open to being proven wrong though.

Such a hugely disappointing reply :(

Like you're one to talk! You block people on twitter for disagreeing with you! You're as bad as anyone for holding a grudge - and in your case they don't even have to insult you to incur your wrath.

Why is that?

Because they despise Dingwall and put a filter in their forum so anyone typing in his name would end up posting 'Dingbat'. If they really have decided to move on, then it's about time, frankly. I wonder if they'll extend the same courtesy to all those they've disagreed with in the past.
