Chris McLaughlin - Reporting from Hampden

Recommended Posts

The embarrassing thing for Scotland is that there is now only one big club in the top division - and supposedly they are Irish...

It is a pretty sad state of affairs. I wonder if there's any other country in the world where the champions fly the flag of a foreign nation.

#SFL meeting continues at Hampden. Source tells me that members advised 16 of the 30 clubs are needed to vote newco #Rangers into Div 1.

No #SFL vote expected today. Members could agree to call EGM though which would take place next week

Why no vote today? This is so frustrating.

Is no-one going to have the balls to make a decision?

As I understand it they have nothing to vote on. Rangers haven't applied to join the SFL in any division yet.

Livi Chairman confirms Regan stated SFA would block RFC's entry to SPL but SFA were then unavailable for comment. So much for transparency

Stewart Regan says his comment on SPL newco vote was "distorted, taken out of context and leaked to the media"

I think Regan needs to be asked to explain what is going on here. The SFL have agreed to meet next Thursday to vote on Rangers, prior to the SPL vote which Regan says won't matter anyway! Why bother meeting then? Can someone explain the technicalities of how the SFA can do this?

"distorted, taken out of context and leaked to the media" but said nonetheless. Explain yourself, Mr Regan.

I am sick of this whole charade.
