A new season has begun at Rangers and while the club continues via the recent transfer of our SFA share, there's no doubt this is also a new era for our club. With a new owner, a new board and new players; we also felt it was time to refresh our site design so from today you can now use our new website.

First of all, we'd urge everyone who hasn't seen it to view our promotional video for season 2012/13 - we can guarantee you goosebumps and, along with Tuesday's win over East Fife at a packed Ibrox, a sense of renewed excitement for the challenges ahead.

Gersnet has been active in the online RFC community now for over 12 years and lots has happened since the turn of millenium. However, while owners, managers and players may come and go, fans never leave the club's side and for as long as our club exists, we hope to ensure our site offers an independent view on many issues related to the club.

From articles on a variety of subjects, to match analysis and book reviews; we aim to provide a quality website for Rangers supporters to enjoy. Add in our increasingly popular forum and the useful article comments functionality then we hope every reader takes part in each debate.

Perhaps you'd even like to submit an article yourself? Given we have tens of thousands of regular online readers across the community (Newsnow, Twitter, Facebook and more) you can be sure of an interested audience.

Finally, we're keen to make the point that this site is about those who use it. What functionality do you want? What feedback do you have? How can we improve the experience? Please get in touch anytime!

Here's to a new website then and a new era for all bears!

Rangers then; Rangers now; Rangers forever!

By the way, as well as article writers, we're always on the look out for people interested in working on our websites.

For example, updating information, inserting data, graphic design, providing technical help etc etc!

Give me a shout by PM if you fancy it.

PS: You don't really need any programming/design knowledge to update our articles - we use Joomla which is content managed software meaning you simply write the content into provided windows within the software. Easy and only takes a few mins! :)
