Hibs Ladies vs Rangers Ladies

 

 

 

5' Hibs have the early possession but it's a quiet start.

7' First shot on goal of the game is for Hibs but it goes high over the bar.

15' What an effort from Sarah Clelland for #Rangers! The ball sits up perfectly for her and she leathers it off the post! So close. 0:0!

18' Stoppage in play as Howat stays down after a 50/50 challenge. The stretcher is out for Kirsty and we hope she is okay.

21' Katey Turner replaces Kirsty Howat.

24' Hibs pressing again but their shot from outside the box comes to nothing. 0:0.

25' Megan Karagiozis goes down in her own half with nobody near her, clutching her knee.

27' Stretcher is out once more for Megan this time. We hope Megan is alright, it looked and sounded like a sore one.

30' Hayley Sinclair replaces Megan Karagiozis.

#Scotland coach Anna Signeul is in the stands watching today's match.

35' CLEARED OFF THE LINE! Megan Foley does a fantastic job for Rangers as she hoofs it clear after a Hibs lobbed effort was going in. 0:0!

38' Corner for Rangers couldn't be tapped in after an in-swinger looked dangerous. 0:0!

39' GOAL RANGERS!!! Own goal!

A free kick swung into the box was headed into her own net by the #Hibs defender after a decoy run by Hayley Sinclair! 0:1!!!

42' Hayley Cunningham comes close for #Rangers again with a free kick which is driven over. Just. 0:1!

Half time approaches but there will be a good deal of stoppage time.

 

45' Johnstone in the Rangers goal makes a decent catch from a shot to end the half. 0:1 HT!

52' Hibs probing for a leveller and their delivery across goal couldn't be tapped in. 0:1!

54' Goal Hibs.

Neat play down the left hand side ended in a good delivery and a fine volleyed finish. 1:1.

55' Hibs come again and this time clip the bar with a cross into the box.

60' Hibs smash the post with a shot from distance.

62' Goal Hibs.

Corner swung in and Joelle Murray rises highest to head home. 2:1.

75' Hibs doing all the attacking at the moment and go close with a free header. 2:1.

81' Rangers sub, Swanson off - replaced by O'Neil.

85' Five to go here at Broxburn, #RLFC still chasing the game. 2:1.

88' Hibs have the chance to wrap up the points but a low shot is saved by Johnstone for Rangers and the rebound is cleared by Watson. 2:1.

90+' Megan Foley goes down with a head knock. She's up and moving again but she's replaced by Hughes.

90+' into stoppage time now here at Broxburn.

90+' Great double save by Johnstone for Rangers as Hibs look to put the game to bed. Still 2:1!

RANGERS put four past Hamilton Academical at Ibrox Stadium on Tuesday night in a friendly match as the Light Blues prepare to take on Scottish Women’s Premier League newcomers, Hearts, this weekend.

RANGERS LADIES went down to a hard working Hearts side in a 1-0 defeat away from home at Kings Park on Sunday.

"The game is finished", was the only positive Rangers Ladies manager Kevin Murphy could take away from the game on Sunday, as the Gers slumped to a 1-0 away defeat to Hearts at Kings Park.
