(2) Disciplinary Rule 71 (Not acting in the best interests of football by calling into question the integrity of the Commission, chaired by Lord Nimmo Smith and appointed by the Scottish Premier League Limited (“SPL”) to examine alleged breaches of the SPL’s Rules regarding the use by Rangers PLC and Rangers FC of Employee Benefit Trusts to pay players, by suggesting in a media interview that the outcome and sanction of said Commission had been pre-determined by the SPL.) Principal Hearing Date: Thursday, 4th October 2012 Mr Green has until Monday, 24th September 2012 to respond to the Notice of Complaint. Rule 66: No recognised football body, club, official, Team Official or other member of Team Staff, player, referee, or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall bring the game into disrepute. Rule 71: A recognised football body, club, official, Team Official, other member of Team Staff, player or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall, at all times, act in the best interests of Association Football. If Rangers are found guilty, and we appeal, then part of that appeal is clearly going to be the lack of independence of the SPL, the fact that Iain Blair ruled independently on Celtic's EBT, and the corruptness of the process. With these charges, the SFA have taken the view that the SPL process is not 'corrupt' without hearing our evidence. So how can the SFA now act as the independent appeal body having taken this stance? The proper stance of the SPL would be to keep quiet until after any appeal, or otherwise, and then make the charges once all the facts are in. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Circumnavigate punishments(or is that the consequences), but get your message across by proxy. Like the late Paul McBride QC, oft described as, "a source close to the Celtic Board". He articulated ra Sellik's mindset and since he had no official connection to the club, result.
