HMRC-set to appeal

Recommended Posts

I believe any appeal must be based on a point of law.

Now, the usual suspects rushed to tell us that the 2-1 majority verdict contained most information from Dr Heidi Poon's contribution. She voted against Rangers and her reasoning was based on her accounting expertise. The other two that voted in our favour are both legal experts.

Does an Accountant trump two Lawyers?

Maybe HMRC are basing their appeal on renewed HATRED?

I think it is especially important that we still proceed with attempts to get answers to our questions over their handling of our case.

Who chose us as this test case and why?

The stakes are very high for HMRC and will be even higher if they lose this appeal.

Regardless of the outcome of this case they have a lot to answer for.

The FTT has given us the confidence to put our heads above the parapet and we should maintain our self respect and dignity and not lose it again over this appeal.

Onwards and upwards.
