McCoist has only confirmed that he is interested i talking to Bell.... From the website: ALLY McCOIST has confirmed that he is interested in recruiting goalkeeper Cammy Bell for next season – although the Kilmarnock star would not be able to play until September. The Rangers boss would like Bell to fight with Neil Alexander for the No1 slot and it would give him the opportunity to send young keeper Scott Gallacher out on loan. However, he has stressed that a deal has not been done and talks have yet to take place. He told RangersTV: “We are interested in Cammy Bell. We would like to keep Neil as well because I want to have two strong goalkeepers and then it would give me the opportunity to send Scott Gallacher out on loan. “Cammy is a player we have looked at and he fits the bill in terms of his ability and his availability in terms of being out of contract in the summer. “Nothing has been finalised but he is a player we hope to have a chat with and find out what his situation.” Rangers are still hamstrung by a registration embargo which does not end until September 1. They can recruit players who are out of contract in the summer but they won’t be able to register them until that date. Bell, 26, has been the first choice at Kilmarnock for the past three years and has broken into the Scotland set-up gaining one cap so far in a friendly against the Faroe Islands. That would be 1.25 million per year excluding any bonuses and signing fees for goalies while playing in the 2nd div! Well someone needs to tell him if that is seriously what he thinks.
