RST, Union Bears and RSA Statement

Recommended Posts

In view of the impending season ticket renewals and the launch of the new strip the RST and the Rangers Supporters Association urges the board of RFC to use todayâ??s meeting to stabilise executive control and work in the best interest of our beloved football club so that we can all dig deep and support our return to our rightful place at the helm of Scottish football. We are reassured by Walterâ??s continued presence in the boardroom and I am sure the wider Rangers Family are too, this is undoubtedly a time for boardroom stability, continuity and strong leadership.

Union Bears Statement

Rangers Board, The Union Bears would like to make clear that we unequivocally back Walter Smithâ??s position on the clubâ??s board of directors. Furthermore we will stand firmly behind anyone else that Walter Smith believes is working on the board in the best interests of our football club. Weâ??d also like to clarify that we would oppose the return of Charles Green to our football club in any capacity. If Walter Smith or any of the those referenced above are forcibly removed from the board of directors we will have no option but to consider our options for the season ahead. Union Bears No Surrender

The UB statement seems rather strong but the RST one a bit more agreeable.

I'd have thought we'd all want boardroom stability and strong leadership therein. A few may not want Walter around (and he's certainly not infallible) but, for me at least, he represents someone I can immediately identify with and trust.

the ub statement is strong. it's one i agree with but some may not of course.

I'm not a fan of the UB ALL the time however now is not the time to be pussying around. I agree with their statement.

I think that a message that we as a support may consider our positions is something that needs to be said and as such the UB statement has a lot more impact.

The RST/RSA statement won't make the directors stop and think whereas the UB one might.

Every organisation should join in and make it crystal clear to the Board that if Walter goes, we all go.

Worst case scanario; Walter walks and so do we. The club heads into administration and everybody who has invested so far will lose everything again.

But next time the adminstrators are appointed, we would have no more con-men, chancers and charletans, because any investor would understand that the fan base was no longer willing to put up with people playing silly buggers. They would also know that if a real, responsible and respectable owner/Board takes over, the fans will be there to support them.

And what about the assets?

All well if they remain with the Club.

But if not?
