Paul Murray - ''Tell me who really owns Rangers?

Recommended Posts

It doesn't actually matter who is behind the shares. What matters are their intentions towards Rangers, whether they are in for a quick buck or the long haul, whether they intend to invest more cash when the inevitable (imho of course) cash call comes or whether they are looking to extract profit through asset sales.

What we do know is that certain investors will not reinvest with the current board in place. But what are the intentions of the others?

it is apparent that an injection of new capital will be required in the near future. Neither the current board nor the requisitioners have yet fully outlined their plans as to how they would achieve this. Perhaps we'll learn more in the run up to the AGM.

We also know that BPH (and other faceless parties) are heavily aligned with the current boardroom (and people like Green & Ahmad who've moved off camera). After all, it was BPH who were supposedly behind the previous requisition to have Malcolm Murray & Phil Cartmell removed while appointing Easdale and Morgan.
