Paul Murray - ''Tell me who really owns Rangers?

Recommended Posts

Strange thing to mock considering STs and merchandise bought by the fans is what keeps the club going every year

I was mocking the, imo, misguided hatred of PM, those who mouthed furiously against him and criticised him for not investing in Rangers. Some even claimed to have invested far more than him - without knowing his investment of course. And I know for a fact that PM has never won the euromillions.

I know STs and merchandise keep the club going. no need to tell me that. Our RSC has a large number of members who support the club through STs, some with 2 seats even, no cheap seats and all at the upper end of the price scale. A fair few do not attend a single match but the support is there for the club.

In fact, many guys have benefited from a Bar72 front row, central seat. Needy cases do not even need to make a donation.

The support could demand answers and if they weren't forthcoming, threaten action.

A pipedream of course.

I still think it's dangerous not to know who owns our Club.

Why did the rebels and indeed the fans not demand to know the name of every shareholder back at the IPO before they invested.

There are two possible interpretations of this latest effort by Paul Murray:

1. It is a holding action to make sure the support and others don't forget that the requisitioners are still there whilst they fine tune their strategy for the AGM.

2. It is a rather weak last throw of the dice by a group of requisitioners who have effectively accepted that they will be out-voted at the AGM.

I don't know which of the two is the most accurate but my instinct suggests the latter. I hope I am wrong.
