Rangers fans ponder next move on season ticket trust fund

And the 6th is way past cancellation date.

If we get it next Thursday we will have closer to a week than 3.

Chris says the 6th, your arithmetic is appalling. There is a few posters arguing about number of days but no one is arguing about Chris putting a negative slant on the contents of the review.

i have literally no idea what your talking about.

the club have ignored it's own renewal date and renewed thousands and given them 19 days to cancel. the first 9 of those are pre the 120 days.

10 days till its to late if they do bring it out next thursday.

if its late then who knows how little time people will get.

Whether or not a ST Trust Fund is set up I will not be paying up front for next season, it will be game by game basis for me. To hand the board £10M without any cast iron guarantees would be an act of utter stupidity IMO.

and they have auto renewed thousands of people who didn't ask to be.

probably illegally.

so the date of the 6th is spurious at best. given you have to the 28th to cancel and 30th is the first payment.

It's not probably illegal it IS illegal and anyone who has that happen to them should be able to get an immediate refund.

But how do you know that

they have auto renewed thousands of people who didn't ask to be
or any for that matter?

"We will now have to discuss how we move forward based on the fact that the board have put the renewals out ahead of the review and whether we have to take action ahead of that review.

"The idea of securing Ibrox and Murray Park is something we are very focused on and feel it is an important thing to do.

"This move by the board doesn't give people confidence in terms of the financial position and we would like to secure the club's two most important assets. It is still something we want to do.

"But it is hard to make any informed decisions until we see the review, which is why the renewals coming out at this time seems very odd."

What is shaking confidence in the financial position of the Club is the uncertainty caused by statements like that.

There is no way this Board will be held to ransom like that and no chance whatsoever of them granting security over our main assets in return for ST money from around 20% of ST holders, which would amount to about £2 million.

They have auto renewed everyone on the 4 month option. Are we to believe ever one checked a box for that and everyone has forgotten.

They probably think they are doing you a favour because it's cheaper to auto-renew but I know you are a stickler for what's legal not what's cheaper.

It's green and his changing over bank details and setting up direct debits to the Newco all over again.

If you are correct then I would agree with you, it's wrong even if they are doing it because it is the better/cheaper option.

Have they by any chance included a statement to those involved saying that we are doing it because we thought you would like to stay on the original scheme but you can of course opt out?

It's arguable that they are cutting their own throats by auto renewing the pay direct instalments, because it would be better for the Club for the instalment renewals to go through Zebra as they'll get the money up front; so it is easy for them to argue that it is in your interests to auto renew. If you look at it that way, then you could say that on the one hand the club get the benefit of all the auto renewals but on the other hand it takes longer for them to get the money.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't?
