What does everyone think of the refs in this WC ?

Been pretty poor IMO. This one must be the worst yet

I think the refs have been a mixed bag but not awful. What's wrecking proceedings is appalling offside calls. It's been easily 50/50 in terms of the ratio of wrong calls to correct ones.

i`ve noticed some excellent offside calls, but also seen poor ones and where the player has went on to finish it.

 

it really depends on the individual ref. i`ve noticed the south american refs are the least tolerant though.

I think they have been doing ok, every booking ive seen has been merited IMO but im not watching the late games.

I don't think they're too bad tbh, the main problem is obviously that Fifa are wanting to stamp certain sorts of tackles out of the game, so they're only doing what they're being told to. The other thing is that players should know better now having seen what sort of tackles are getting punished in the early games. But apparently not.

I thought the ref last night for the Italy game should have been sent off; totally spoiled the game.

 

Equally, the one in charge of Croatia vs Japan seemed to be either too harsh or too lenient and was probably the single biggest influence on the outcome of the game.

another game ruined by the ref! when the french see that decision re Viera's non-allowed goal they'll be fucking raging!

One of the Aussie players nearly took off Ronaldos leg and he didn't even get a foul given against him. Terrible decision for a purple card tackle.
